— Edited review — Even though they serve decent Japanese food, we won’t be coming back again because of their unacceptably slow service and a server with dirty nails.

We used to be regulars and were aware that service could be slow. But the last time, we waited for an hour as dine-in customers, and we were the only dine-in customers. It was a waste of time.

— Old review — We’ve done both eat-ins and takeouts several times. Our favorites are the salmon teriyaki rice bowl and the tempura rice bowl. The tempura is perfectly fried, while the salmon can be a bit overcooked, but that’s fine with me. If you don’t like it well-done, you have to let the chef know.

I recently placed an order via Uber Eats and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. The total wait time for my food was 1 hour and 45 minutes, which is completely unacceptable for a delivery service.

Throughout this time, I repeatedly tried to contact the restaurant for an update, but no one answered the phone. When I finally managed to speak with the Uber delivery driver, I was informed by the restaurant’s management that the order would be ready in approximately 5 minutes. However, even after waiting another 20+ minutes, the food still wasn’t ready.

There was a total lack of communication from the restaurant's side , no updates, no transparency, and no sense of urgency or responsibility. The entire experience was extremely frustrating and far below the level of service one...

Great to finally get to Kuru Kuru 2 after so many years enjoying Shiyam's food in town. I've not decided whether I prefer the deep-fried salmon in the teriyaki bowl or the way Shiyam does it but it was certainly tasty.
