Poor service, overpriced food that is not even that good.
My boyfriend and I have visited Grounded Kitchen at Queens Road numerous times now. We thoroughly enjoyed the bowls from before the changes, and have found the bowls now to tend to be lackluster. The food now ranges from 8-12 pounds for a bowl, and aren't as rich in flavour and ingredients as they used to be.
I can only speak for my experience so far at this specific branch, but I have been fairly disappointed with the service there. They have managed to mess up our orders 4 times. The reason we kept coming back, is that this is one of the better take out places on Queens Road, but continue to be disappointed with their food. Recently we went in to order a Quencher (#4), only to find it had Cocoa bits in it, which my boyfriend is allergic to. This is not listed on their ingredients list, allthough they are mentioned for another shake. When confronting the staff with this, they did not offer a reimbursement of any sort, and did not seem to care that much. Tonight we ordered some Bulgogi Beef and Bulgogi Prawn after some time again, and can only recommend the Bulgogi Prawn out of those two. The Bulgogi beef lacked flavour and was very dry, very much in contrast of the Bulgogi Prawn. That seems surprising, since there should not be that much of a difference.
All I can say is that the service is not great, the food is a overpriced for the lackluster flavourless food they tend to serve. All I have enjoyed thus far are the Quenchers (which unfortuantely aren't labelled sufficiently). I would rather walk into town and grab fantastic food for less money with better customer service (Crafty Burger, Kai's, Oodles...
Read moreThis restaurant on Queens road seemed like quite a new one, and I had only heard of it quite recently. However I am very glad that I had heard of it because it is a must-visit for anyone looking for healthy and delicious food in Leicester.
I have to admit, this was my first time visiting a Korean restaurant and I was rather skeptical when I was introduced to the concept however the spices are brilliant, with the gochujang going so well with the beef and the bulgogi chicken being another highlight.
The restaurant is quite a small one however it has a soft of cozy ambiance to it and is perfect for smaller groups. It is equipped with charging ports and free wi-fi.
The food is just on another level as it introduces something new, with it being healthy and offering Buddha bowls that can be vegan or vegetarian as well as gluten free options. The bulgogi and the gochujang dishes are simply excellent, with the spices accompanying the meat, packing a punch with each bite. The drinks are definitely authentic and the matcha focus has an amazing 'waking up'...

I told him we have ordered 2 large dishes, Surprisingly, he replied , we run out food!! I said, you could have told us and we can decide He started shouting very rudely (it is what it is, what can I do for you ?).in front of our friends and kids.! The conversation went very tense , I told him you should not talk this way . We should get what we ordered but he was very rude , pointing at me telling me if you don’t want it, you can leave!! His attitude was very strange and unacceptable . The manager, Rihanna, came and kindly apologised and said it was a stressful day and offered me to get a refund for the difference, I replied I do not want any refund. What I want is an apology from the person who was shouting and pointing at me in front of my friends and kids .What he did was completely unacceptable, unprofessional and disrespectful. We all left the shop full of anger and...
