Me and my family ate there today and god firstly the food was mediocre at best my father has been to a turkish restaurant in every single place we have visited and is very familiar with the cuisine of turkish food. The food came so quick which made it so obvious that it wasn’t fresh and tasted microwaved. My father then asked the waitress who was an old ish lady about bread being served with the mixed grill as there usually is with mixed grill, mind you he asked in a very normal toned way. The waitress then says “that’s how it is here that’s how we do the mixed grill”. My father then says to her usually there’s some bread that comes with it could we get some bread and she said yes sure and walked away. Up till now normal conversation and very normal tone. After that they brought some bread and we ate and finished the food. Whilst paying my dad says to her this was one of the worst experiences of turkish food here in Inverness, as we have gone to another Turkish place yesterday called Aspendos, and Wow the food and customer service there was brilliant and amazing 10/10 would recommend and authentic turkish food, anyways he says that to her, and her response word for word is “Great, Thank you and this is the worst experience i’ve had of you customers, This is england not your country i’m not your servant you cannot shout at me you don’t have the right to shout at me”. My dad confused asked when did he shout the whole time he’s talked to her calm and composed and she keeps saying “you cannot shout at me this is not your country this is not how we do things here” Like the audacity to say that’s about us. We are Arabic people who are also tan and have arabic features, so there was definitely racially motivated agenda. Overall we left and she didn’t even let us leave in peace she followed my dad out the door and got in his face and kept repeatedly saying this is not your country this is england. Overall i wish i could leave an actual negative review. Worst Restaurant and food experience ever do not support this racist and absurdly rude woman and at the end she also claimed that she’s the manager so definitely a nice way to...

Read moreApologies to my countrymen but I cannot find good food in Scotland. Just about every international food option I have ever tried in this country has been "British-ised" and frankly I just gave up on trying "authentic" (Thai, French, whatever) food, because it doesn't taste how I remember food tasting in those countries.
We decided to give this restaurant a shot and it is my new Inverness favourite. Nothing was soggy, food that I'm normally pickier about came out perfectly. Normally we have a fair bit of food waste because we eat until we're not hungry and then just stop because it's not as pleasant an experience as we would have liked - we ate all of this. My mum is visiting from out of town but did spend a few years growing up in Turkey and she absolutely loved this as well.
The customer service was excellent (normally it feels like so many restaurants are being inconvenienced when they even take our order), and the portions were PERFECT. It was a pricey meal (£142 of food for six of us), but completely worth it. So often I end up with massive portions of food that isn't particularly good and last night I had the best meal I've had in probably a year, if I'm honest. So happy to have found this place and we will be back -...
