Palatine is the best option to buy something and eat inside Durham university (unless fat hippo or tango have brought their carts near the library). That being said, the food option is usually quite bad except for one or two things. Tuna melt and every other pizza are ok. They have stupid policies about your own food. Like even if you buy your main from them, you can't bring your own desert cause they will come and warn you....

The unfriendliest staff I have experienced in my life. I am a daily customer and I am never greeted properly. I get treated like I am a nuisance for just getting my lunch. Apart from one employee who is wonderful everyone is straight up mean. Additionally, the portions are extremely small for what you pay. This cafeteria has an awful service. The staff is very mean and unfriendly, there is no flexibility for asking something from the main meal and they kick you out if more students join you for lunch and don't buy food.
