Slow service and Bar staff rude. Left to eat food as they weren’t serving any, to then return and see our table taken after they agreed to reserve it for the short time we were away. Felt a long time getting served as well, so vying for their attention I stood half way towards the bar from our seats, and before I got a word in he condescendingly instructed me to return to my seat. male staff member running about like a heedless chicken, unwilling to detach and keep a level head. We couldn't determine the source of the music...could have been a jukebox, could have been a cheeky phone plugged in. No idea. Anyways, did I mention we had just gotten engaged? We had. In the rain. It was actually really romantic. The proposal I mean, not the pub. It's a nice boozer, granted but probably not the best place to actually pop the question.

Read moreVisited here occasionally over many years! Today first in while .. same good busy atmosphere with sports on tv and low played music. Pub big enough to chose if you want to watch sports on tv or not. Bar prices excellent compared to Shawlands & Up Town .. kind of in middle ground here near main entrance to Queens Park. Shops for when the hunger comes on leaving pub around. Today I think it would be fair to say more of a Celtic Fan bar. Was all good hearted banter had no issues at all.
