The pizzas were definitely not Italian style, definitely felt we were eating soggy/microwave pizza They forgot my dish, they mentioned this was "normal" and apologized. If you think this is "normal", then you're definitely an amateur business/restaurant Would give it 0 stars if I could, but that's not possible. I'll give this one star to the wine

If you're in a rush and need to fill up your stomach with something, then this place should do the trick. If you want authentic Italian food, avoid this place. Other restaurants we went to seem to think that Caffe Italia is the much better Italian restaurant, so would definitely check them out :)

EDIT: We definitely ate in your restaurant, we came on Friday 30th May. Our reservation was at 9:15, sat at 9:20, group of 6 boys. We ordered pizzas, and I ordered Pasta Alla Matriciana. The waitress who served us was a blonde lady. Actually, we were one of the last people to leavet he restaurant on that day.

It's OK if you don't want to improve, you can reject my review and continue the way you're serving your customers. I just want to make sure that tourists who visit this place get an honest review, hence I have provided better alternatives. Thank you and have an...

Ate here on 16/08/23. Service was very good and the lady who served us was very polite and helpful. Sadly, that’s where the pleasure ended.

I’ve been a regular scooter to Italy., Italian restaurants in London, Bath, Bristol etc. This Boewness take on Italian is best avoided.

I’d spotted the pizzas on the way in. They looked terrible. We had a garlic bread with our pasta dishes - it was the same frozen based pizza base used on the pizzas. Tough, bland - terrible. If you really want a pizza the place three doors down is far better and the Tap House at the bottom of town do amazing pizzas.

The pasta dishes came out as if they had all been chucked in a big oven and blasted. It was molten hot. My wife’s carbonara was tasteless and thick - not light and seasoned like it should be. My cannelloni was dry on the inside but did have a nice sauce. Couldn’t help but think this was just a packet from somewhere like Costco. The Spaghetti Bolognaise my daughter had was tasty enough, but there’s no way they’d prepared this. It too lacked seasoning.

The worst meal out I’ve had in a long time. And I eat out a lot. Shame, as the staff on the floor work hard. Looks like it’s profit over...

We arrived late in Bowness and needed somewhere to eat. Being as Italian is a favourite food we looked around and cam across Rastelli's. Convenient and local. Unfortunately though it was rammed. We asked about a table for 2 and were politely told that it would be around 0930hrs. Current time was 2000. After declining to see if we could find something else we decided to go back and book, everywhere was full, Saturday night etc. The girl who I spoke to asked us to wait in the bar area because may be able to help. She did and thank you very much, wish I got your name. We sat down and ordered a great meal. Basically 1 x special pizza...very warm as I was advised, garlic cheese pizza bread, garlic mushrooms and 1 x lasagne. 2 glasses of Peroni lager and one bottle house red. Total bill £74. Cut to the chase the food was exceptional and so much so we booked a table for the Sunday evening too. The speed of service and the staff are one of the best we have encountered, there wasn't anything more they could have done for us. We're back home now but would definitely be back again soon. Great food and service guys, keep it up. Well...

Had to book 2 table on a Sunday night (6 +1 high chair and 4) as the automatic reply on the phone give you the opportunity to book for max 6 pp. As soon as arrived I explain the situation to the girl at the front house that immediately apologised saying that I should just wait after the automatic reply to speak with one of the guys and easily book a table for 11 (good to know for the next time). As we arrived the place was full but we been seated immediately, the staff was very attentive and friendly and we manage to order drinks and food soon. After receiving our starter the girl from the front house (shame on me I did not ask for her name) managed to sort out some more tables attached to ours and we had the opportunity to finish our meal together... what a great hospitable touch!!! Food was outstanding and the portions were very generous. The atmosphere was perfect with nice Italian music in background.. Cannot find nothing to complain about... we will definitely be back again.

We stopped by this pizza place for a bite and really enjoyed it. We ordered a bottle of house Chenin Blanc, which was light and pretty tasty. For food, we had a Margherita and a Pepperoni pizza. The place was quite full, but it had a nice vibe and the food didn’t take too long to arrive. The flavour of the pizzas was really good – we’d give it a solid 4.2 stars. The sauce had a perfect balance of acidity and sweetness, the cheese was delicious and generously layered, and the oregano and seasoning were spot on. Being able to add parmesan and pepper at the table was a nice touch. The only downside was the dough – while it had good flavour, it lacked the big air bubbles and lightness you often find in traditional Italian pizza. Still, it was tasty overall. To finish off, I had a latte – really simple, but tasty coffee. A great spot to enjoy some good food and drinks!

This is a popular restaurant in Bowness-on-Windermere. Inside is cozy with an open kitchen at one end, with proper pizza oven etc. Due to its relatively small size, this makes it quite warm, although the staff are clearly well used to managing this. If you're adverse to a draft, you might want to book a table away from the entrance. In fact, you probably should book full stop, as it's popularity mean s that it's nonstop. Again, the staff are very slick at turning round tables. Service is very friendly with many staff on hand. The guest wines represent excellent value for money, and the specials offer something extra to the regular menu, which is par for the course for a traditional Italian restaurant. Pictured is a sea bass special, which was well cooked, but with too much oil which was a shame.
