Wish I had taken photos :( I have never felt more inclined to leave a review for somewhere. Last Saturday we went for breakfast, waitress I thought was lovely, her first day, polite, helpful, all good. 20 min wait on food, decent. Daughter ordered pancakes and maple syrup, they came very small, similar shape to shop bought, swimming in maple syrup along with another pot full of maple syrup. Ok if you like this yet some would like the choice of how much syrup goes on those fluffy pancakes. Fried egg on the fry up wasn't cooked on top (snotty) and burnt on the bottom, sausage is cheap, no toast, cold plates. For all this I probably wouldn't of left a review, I wanted the toilet before breakfast, upon going to the disabled toilet, I found no toilet paper or soap, I politely asked for some. After eating breakfast, went to the toilet again and still none of the above, I asked a second time as we paid and she says that she has filled the ladies downstairs 🤯 I cannot use the stairs very well, certainly not the day in question. I am registered disabled. I had to wait until I could use the public toilets in the town. I am someone who was also on their "monthlies" not good. I will not go back to this place ever again. Read moreWe went for dinner on Friday (26th of jan) our table was at 19:30, we were about 5 minutes early if that. Waited 10 minutes to be seated, there was about 10/11 tables in at that time. The waitress didn't know where to seat us, so we walked around the restaurant for a moment. We were there 35 minutes after being seated and were not offered drinks or anything. We ended up just walking out. I understand its a new restaurant, I think some structure is needed to food service, there was either staff cleaning tables or stood around talking, I believe lots of the foh staff in there need more training and guidance. Split the tables into sections so each waiter or waitress gets 5-6 tables each, have 1/2 people taking drinks to the table, who's ever on each section make sure to keep checking back on the runner to see if any food needs taking. It wasn't that busy and to be in a situation where you're cleaning tables rather than serving customers is sad and shows its lack of training, it was as if the staff didn't want to talk to any of the customers. I may come in and hopefully try the food this time at some point but possible during a lunch period. I hope rockys do well for themselves and take every little but of advice on board...
Read moreWent to try out the new eatery. Unfortunately not that impressed. Bit underwhelmed. Staff pleasant. Food was tasty. However service was extremely slow, 15min for drinks, well over 40min for just 2 meals. Servers were all over place no structure. Things to make it bit more comfortable for customers, condiments already on table, some restaurants make this rookie mistake. Waiting to bring condiments to table after food arrives then customers have the waiting game while food gets colder. I had to go get ours so we had them for when the food did arrive, Also condiment tubs should be cleaned at top and maybe refilled each day as it looks so messy. Have cutlery laid down once sat at table. Also a waitress for each station as lots of walking about with plated food then taking back to kitchen area etc. Didn't like that vibe. Chef as on show maybe a hat or definitely a mask, esp if facial hair. Just makes customers feel more comfortable with having a face leaning over food. I did have great expectations for the new place. But was very disappointed. But I hope all goes well for new venture and customer comments are taken on board as its an early stage. But probably won't recommend after...
