Tonight, I was looking for somewhere to eat after my friend’s birthday party in town, and came across slam burger restaurant. With a grumbly tummy and an open mind, the neon lights grew brighter as I entered the premises.
I was excited to see just how many options were on display on the menu when I noticed the glare of the self-service checkout in the corner or my cornea. This allusive glow reignited a child-like enthusiasm within me long dormant since days of my youth. Oh how I long for the days. Take me back please?
Anyway, the plethora of options pleased my pallet and I paused, pondered and picked. Cheeseberger chirps and drynk. bangin. #sorted.com; Amongst the selection of drynks, I noticed Rio, which I jumped at the chance to watch as it’s my favourite film. It follows a blue bird’s (called blu)(voiced by Jessie eyezenburg) (star of scot pilgrim verses the world) migratory journey to find a mate so he keeps the sheepees (species) from extinction. Assuming the wait for the food would be fast, we decided to leave Rio (2011) for another day (runtime 90mintes rated U) and waited like a normal customer.
As time ticked on, my tummy talked and tickled my tonsils? The wait was slightly longer than anticipated, at approximately 15 minutes 47 seconds. Luckily we had an array of entertainment to remedy our (very) short attention span. Including free SLAMBURGER Baloons, which we rubbed on each others heads to demonstrate magic of science also found in the Mr bean episode where he visits his old school (bean” 1992 see a pen dicks)(rated U.
The restaurant also providing a late teens chick in a dressing gown entering, leaving and returning and then returning, leaving and entering X 5
“81” the friendly voice said across the restaurant, as I waddled (not to dissimilar to Pingu (2001 BBC all rights reserved) “Noot Noot” I thought to myself as the dude decided to delicately drop delectably delicious dips down deep into the bag.
Shortly after receiving the goods, all that stood between me and my food’s inevitable destiny was a brisk waddle home. This time I felt less like Pingu (2001) and more like the main penguin (forgot his name) from Happy Feet (DreamWorks 2006) as I broke out into impressive rendition of a heartfelt rendition of trusts trader.com theme tune ( you can always trust a trader)
As I unloaded the grub onto the table, the presentation was what you would expect. Biting into the (smaller than pictured) double bacon cheese burger, it delivered a satisfying taste. The chirps were not very crispy but had a strong potatoe flavour. The Rubicon stole the show though, that classic fruity mango flavour danced apon my tongue like it was the summer of 1999. Oh how i yearn for the days....
Read moreWe went to have food today and we are the first customer of the day at 12.02pm 24/05/2022. We placed order for 2 maga slam and told the guy who took order to make sure we will get fresh lettuce because few weeks back we went there and got very bad lettuce in our burger anywaz we waited around 15 min for food we dont mind waiting for fresh food but when our meals came lettuce in the burger was not fresh and it brown or you can say that its from last day. First we decided not to complain but then my friend took that to counter and complaint about this the guy at the counter was very good he took it back and prepared our burger again for which we have to wait 10 min again but this time when order came onto our table the guy from kitchen he started arguing with us and telling us we always do fresh we never used last days stuff so and so where he dont want to listen to us we tried our best to tell him about our last experience but he was like you came here for the first time and you guys dont know any ways we he went back into kitchen. I went to the counter and ask the guy whats the other guy name so i can complain about him the way he behave with customer is very wrong but he said leav it and ignore him onthe other side the guy from the back was shouting and saying take them out they can do whatever outside not here which mean he is want us to kick out.we paid 14 pounds we are not eating free or anything and to be honest personally i use to go birmingham for slam burger i never ever had this kind of experience but here it is not acceptable. Day by day food quality is going down i dont know owner is not taking any intrest or what but he have to look into this. For reference i gave time and date you guys have cameras you can look into it. My review is not for the food taste or quality its for how they treated me and my friend. I am not saying they will lose anything but they definitely lost 12 15 customers for including me my family and my friends. I really hope they will look into it and make sure this will never happen again...
Read moreI recently had the chance to try Slam Burger, and I have to say — it definitely lived up to the hype. The burgers are juicy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked to your preference. The menu has a nice variety, from classic beef burgers to creative options with spicy sauces and crispy onion rings.
What stood out most was the freshness of the ingredients — the buns were soft and slightly toasted, the lettuce and tomatoes were crisp, and the cheese melted just right. I also tried the loaded fries, which were a solid side choice — crispy, cheesy, and full of flavor.
The service was friendly and fast, and the overall vibe of the place was welcoming, whether you’re dining in or grabbing takeout. Prices were reasonable for the portion sizes, and the quality definitely made it worth it.
If you’re a burger lover, Slam Burger is worth a visit — it hits that perfect balance between comfort food...
