Senghennydd Hall — Hotel in Great Britain

What a spartan and awful experience it was. I was there for a conference and while I have to say that the staff was the nicest I've probably ever met in my life, the accommodation wasn't nearly adequate for a conference, much more for living there. The rooms are unbelievably small, and despite being clean and close to the city centre, having the train passing most of the time, makes it a nightmare for light sleepers or simply for people who want to have their window open to let some fresh air in. The bathrooms were another problem as well. The shower didn't work after 7.10am as quite some people were showering at the same time, and the toilet didn't always flush, meaning that I had to spend some time trying to find a way of fixing its mechanism. I admit that I could have contacted the accommodation's services to fix it, which I didn't.

I believe that for the 30 something pounds you pay for this, it's much better to pay 40 for the PremierInn down the road. There isn't as well a place to have some social contact with other students, except for the kitchen and outside, so I don't really see the advantage of...

One of the worst accomodations you can get in Cardiff. The rooms are really small. The kitchen's size is unacceptable for 8 people. The fire alarm rings whenever, and they don't even inform you that tests are being carried out. The whole building is very old, and it is also quite depressing. It is really difficult to clean the floor as it is covered with a mat that can't come off. There is very little storage space. The reception does not accept parcels. Most of the driers don't work properly but still they get your money. The rooms are not soundproof at all. The matreses are really uncomfortable. There is no community area for students other than kitchens, which are very restricted in terms of space. Not all living in the hall of residence can sit at a table in one sitting.
