We recently visited Tea Times in Leicester, excited to relive the memories of our time in Qatar. Unfortunately, the experience didn't meet our expectations. The parking nearby was expensive and limited. It was not an issue. We travelled 44 miles just for Tea time. However Once inside, the space was crowded, and the staff seemed overwhelmed and lacked energy. They were not energetic enough to greet and welcoming the customers.

The familiar aroma of Tea Times was a pleasant reminder of Qatar, but the taste of the tea and food fell short. Portions were minimal and not worth the high prices. For example, the chicken popcorn, which my daughter loved in Qatar, was disappointing in both quantity and preparation. We spent about £40 and left still feeling hungry. Even the portion of chips, which cost £3, was very minimal compared to a local fish and chip shop where you get a decent portion for around £2.70.

Compared to other local eateries, the value for money here was poor. Despite our high hopes, we were let down by the overall experience. I hope Tea Times can improve their service and portions to better reflect the quality we...

I went on last Wednesday (10/07) for the first time. Food was amazing, and really good service.

I decided to go again today (15/07) The food was amazing as last time. However, the service was really bad. It was a lady who served us. Her friends came over, they had the food and she was busy talking to them and was not looking after the customers. She served me cold chips, messed up with other people's order. She had lots of customer queuing up and she went outside to say bye to her friends and was chatting with them. She was very disorganized. I usually don't give any feedback, but the fact that this affected so many customers, I had to leave a review about it. The customer's were not happy with her service.

I hope Tea time looks at improving their service and focus more on...

A lovely spot that I had to visit after hearing about its opening. The staff are friendly and provide great service. Though the interior isn’t large, the relaxing décor creates a pleasant atmosphere.

Regarding the food, the portion sizes could be more generous, especially the loaded fries. The burgers are solid, and the flamingo chicken with their special sauces is a must-try. The ‘French toast’ was enjoyable as a dessert, though it felt misnamed—it doesn’t quite match traditional French toast. The mojitos are fantastic, and the teas are packed with flavor, but the qahwa could use a stronger kick.

Overall, the food is tasty, and it’s a nice spot to unwind, but it leans towards being on the pricier side. Great spot to chill with friends and possibly a small...

On my many travels to Leicester I keep on noticing Teatime when I walk up and down Granby Street. Visited Teatime on the Sunday 23rd February 2025, about 12:30pm in the early afternoon. This cafe was not all that busy but had a few customers dining inside. This place is fairly new to me, its a bit fancy looking and has a nice interior. Went to the payment area and I told the lady that I am going to dine inside, so she gave me a menu to look at. I ordered the Teatime Special Fries (£8), Pistachio French Toast (£8) and Green Tea (£2). In total £18.00 The Teatime Special Fries was a filling meal, it had so many different items on it. While the Pistachio French Toast was soft and sweet. It came with grinded pistachios, chopped strawberries and bananas.

At present, it's 3.5 stars. There's no halves, so I gave it a four as three will be too harsh. It's a newly opened place, so hopefully, with time, they'll get better. Starting with the food. Some dishes were nice like a burger, some just okay. All drinks were lovely except karak chain. Was watery and didn't taste right. As for the service, everyone was attentive and polite. Just one thing, though: when ordering French Toast, we were asked "with or without ice cream." This implies you can customise the dish with ice cream price inclusive. The correct way should be "Would you like to add an ice cream for £1.50?" The seating is okay except for the chairs. Found them very uncomfortable without a way of leaning backwards and resting your back.
