The Black Swan — Restaurant in Great Britain

I have had to put one star, but really it should be minus a star... I had the misfortune to go here last night. When served my drink, I noticed luckily before I took a drink a dead midge /fly on the top of the head of the larger. When I took the drink back the surly woman who served me refused to change the the drink and tried to tell me that the fly must have landed there after she poured it, it was nine o clock on an October night! I asked again for another drink and was refused - but she did offer to fish it out for me. As I didn't want to have the drink with a dead fly in it, call me fussy! I had to leave as she had left me feeling embarrassed and uncomfortable. How do to do good customer service...

Popped in here for a refreshment break. Ordered a vodka and lemonade. Lemonade was flat and had clearly been poured from an opened can of Sprite sat on the bar. When we advised the bar person the drink was flat, she was so rude and started slamming down glasses etc(I think we had disturbed her from her phone 🙄) she reluctantly poured us another from a fresh can, which was lovely and how it should be. Really friendly pub , nice manager/manageress, nice pint , we were made very welcome. Nice vibe in the pub , nice beer garden in back if you time the sun right. A no nonsense pub we both liked , also my wife was happy they sold miniature bottles of jack rabbit pino grigio, which was always ice cold .I would recommend it ,,...
