On a short stay in Southend earlier this week and went to this pub on Monday night and Tuesday lunchtime. Monday I was too late for food, but they didn't mind me bringing in a takeaway and having a couple of pints there. It was relatively quiet at the time. Enjoyed putting a few tunes on the Jukebox and eating my supper and downing several ciders.
Decided to drop in for lunch on Tuesday and had a fish finger wrap. My one or two ciders turned into four! Again, kept queueing up songs on the jukebox. Read moreVisited early (6pm) on a Wednesday evening. Place was clean and tidy, beer was cheap and great and staff were lovely. However, atmosphere was flat as a pancake. Imagine would be a good place to watch sports/football as screens everywhere - even one outside! For other purposes not sure I'd return here though!
