Visited today, on one of the hottest days in Scotland and was genuinely excited to find a vegan spot with some great options. The food was lovely, and the coffee was well made. The barista and another server were helpful.
However, I did have an uncomfortable experience with another server at the till who refused to serve me an iced coffee, saying there was no ice—yet just a few minutes later, several iced drinks were served to other customers.
I’m not sure what happened there, maybe a timing issue but the interaction left me feeling uncomfortable in a way that stood out, especially when others seemed to be treated quite differently. It’s hard not to notice that kind of contrast.
It’s a shame, because the place has a lot of potential—great food, thoughtful options, and mostly great service—but that moment definitely took away from the overall experience.
I hope it was a one-off and not reflective of how people from all different parts of the world might be...
Read moreA lovely little vegan cafe in the heart of Fort William high street. As a Muslim family we were really grateful for the existence of this cafe, as otherwise halal options were very limited in the town especially for breakfast. Three of us had the lentil soup with sourdough bread which was really filling. My dad had the cornish vegetable pasty which was also quite tasty, and my brother had the a waffle with fruit and cream - I was surprised at how soft and fluffy the waffle was, having not been very well acquainted with vegan food before!
The drinks were also really good too - I loved the hazelnut hot chocolate especially! Plus, the focus on sustainability was very welcome e.g. details of where key ingredients such as coffee beans come from. In general the food is a bit on the pricey side, but given the focus on sustainability as well as how tasty everything was, it was definitely worth it. Thank...

i really enjoyed the coffee and it’s probably the best coffee in town. the sandwich i ordered was also lovely.
only 4 stars, because i didn’t really like the vibe - i wish the place was bigger, more spacious and had more sitting area. the place was very busy when i got there, quite loud and it was hard to move around with a big rucksack and bags without knocking anything over 🙈 as a neurodivergent person, i got quickly sensory-overloaded. but i found a nice spot to sit down and eat and drink not far away from the cafe.
the staff was also kind and helpful! you should...
