Went here for some food and drinks after a nice day out whilst on holiday. The food was very good, although one of the dishes was incorrect and one side dish was missed but was quickly sorted when it was mentioned. The biggest disappointment was the service from the staff. We were seated and then they didn’t take our drinks order, again this was fixed when the food order was taken, and then we were completely ignored. Several other customers had come in and been seated and were attended to all whilst ignoring our table. We finished our food and drinks and then had no other interactions the staff. Our empty plates and glasses sat there for around 15/20 minutes and still no one came to clear the table or ask if we wanted more drinks or deserts. We flagged down someone eventually after them avoiding our table to ask for deserts and then she disappeared completely. We then asked another server who said yes, then he disappeared. When we asked again he spoke over us and went “yeeeah the deserts” and again nothing. We eventually just asked for the bill so we could go. The place was a little busy, which we completely understood and fully expected, however as several other customers been served and helped after us made it seemed like the busy excuse didn’t really mean much.

All in all, the LACK of service rather than bad service was very disappointing. It’s hard to complain about something that was missing entirely. We were almost double charged for something as well, this was caught right at the end by us right before paying. Again, understandable as it was busy, but still sort...

We came for lunch and quickly told staff that we only had an hour to eat as we were on a tour. There was only one server for the entire restaurant, and she never came to take our order. I ended up walking to the bar and ordering there. Again told her we had a time constraint. She then proceeded to hang out with the other servers and gossip and complain about the customers. Finally ten minutes later she poured our drinks. We'd ordered simple food so that hopefully it would come quickly. My son ordered chicken wings; they were mediocre. I ordered a chicken Caesar salad, figuring that was hard to screw up. Turns out I was wrong. It was the worst salad I've ever had. The Iceberg lettuce (!!) was shredded, a few wedges of mushy tomatoes (in a Caesar?) and boiled chicken were DRENCHED in the worst bottled Caesar dressing. The plate looked like white mush. It was inedible. I ate a few pieces of chicken. When the server collected the plates she did not mention that I hadn't eaten and did not ask how we enjoyed the food. I had to chase her down for the bill. If I could give zero stars I would. They are busy because all the restaurants in town are busy. But they are a complete disappointment and the worst experience in a restaurant that I've...

We stopped by here on advice from our B&B hosts as we had arrived in town late. We came to the door and a blonde lady (no face mask) behind the bar looked at us, said nothing and ignored us. Then a very pleasant man came past and showed us to our table. The table was a six seater divided in two by a portable wooden screen (very innovative). We sampled some of the local breweries beer, which was OK. Our waiter, the same man who sat us), took our order. He was the only staff member wearing a mask. We had breaded mushrooms. They were tasty. For mains, we had a carbonara with chicken which was very nice and was a huge portion. The burger was well cooked and tasted great as well. Luckily, our waiter was wearing a mask but no one else was and the girls delivering the food were leaning over us. This made us feel very vulnerable, pity, because the food etc was so nice. We wouldn't go back but only because of the lack of...

Brilliant place, was almost not going to go in as it was small and looked busy, but chanced it and the girl serving got us a table, unfortunately I didn't get her name but she was the only blonde lady I seen serving, she was an absolute star, very friendly and was good to chat. The service was quick, hassle free and smooth, what a great team on the floor, the drinks were fresh and crisp, but the food... OMG, everything looked so clean, I had the Haggis, Neeps and Tatties whiskey sauce and I can honestly say it was the best meal I've had out in 5 years, for such a simple meal the taste was sublime, I could have eaten it twice. Hats off to the chefs those guys have talent. My partner equally enjoyed her meal. This is a busy spot with a constant flow of people wanting to eat here, when we were there they could have filled another room if they had it. If you're in Fort William and can get a table, you will not regret it. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We stopped by here for a quick lunch and it was decently busy. We were sat at a sticky table that no one bothered cleaning. After ordering the cullen skink, we got 2 forks, 2 knives and just 1 napkin, all scrunched up - see the picture. Now I'm not one to complain about the table not being arranged perfectly, but this was hilariously bad, so -2 stars for that. The cullen skink was very tasty and actually arrived before our drinks, which again is silly, so -1 star again. The food was good, but the service although friendly was really bad so I would only recommend coming here if you're in a very tolerant mood. As for management - come on guys, you need to get the very basics of service right.

Honestly a good food place to eat, we were lucky enough to get a table but after us they had a long queue going for people to get a table. You cannot eat at the bar as well. The food is great, it's delicious and hearty but it's a bit expensive, I'd recommend taking the Cullen skink soup which is great and the steak and ale pie, they were the best in my opinion. The service is lovely there and all the waitresses we had were delightful and extremely nice even though it was a really busy place. The only downside is the price, for two starters, two mains and a dessert we paid 80£ which is a bit on the higher side of things
