Wendy's — Restaurant in Great Britain

I went to Wendy’s as soon as the opening event took place, and I have been everyday since. This is the best food place there has been in Middlesbrough since I’ve lived here. The food is amazing and I always enjoy, I don’t know why there is so many bad reviews 😒. People just like to complain for attention and are not speaking the truth. Wendy’s is the most amazing restaurant ever and I will not stop going until I physically can’t walk there anymore, but even then I will get myself a mobility scooter and wedge myself through the doors. Where I will then be greeted by that magnificent smell and I will know I’m going to receive the best meal of my life yet again. So far I’ve tried 15 of the different food options and they’ve all been amazing. So I recommend this place to everyone who visits, it’s so magical. The drinks machine was broken yesterday, but the employees were quick to assist. A lovely young girl working front of house calmed me down when I thought I wouldn’t get a drink to wash the gorgeous meal I would be getting. Didn’t catch her name but she had pink hair and quirky facial piercings. I’ve never liked those face piercings, but this girl changed my mind. Anyways, she told me it would be fixed in a jiffy, and my drink soon arrived. Lovely service and a lovely environment. But most of all lovely fricking food, excuse my french. I cold live off those baconaters, and bathe in that chilli. I will never not return and probably not eat at another place ever again. I will become fat and probably diabetic, but I will risk it for a biscuit. And by biscuit I mean a chocolate frosty!! My husband has been getting mad at me for only eating Wendy’s and I don’t cook homemade meals anymore, and honestly I might divorce him. Because he says he’s not so fond of Wendy’s and I will always disagree. I love Wendy’s with my heart, my soul and most importantly my tastebuds. If this review doesn’t show the true value of Wendy’s then I don’t know what will. It forever holds a place in my heart and I’m always thinking about my next meal at Wendy’s. Today me and the homeboys went to the new Wendys and lets just say it was NOT banging... First of all the food on the menu is SEVERELY overpriced, it is around 8 pounds for a burger which is SHOCKING in this cost of living crisis!! Next we waited for our order, they called our number fast and the service was banging, however you could see why the food arrived so fast. My homeboy ordered a Wrap, it arrived and it was as cold as ice! The chicken was barley lukewarm, SHOCKING! I personally ordered the Chicken Burger with a side of Fries and a Drink. After i got my order i went to fill my drink with coke, however when i tasted it, it was just a musty brown water as if they ran it of syrup for the machine, and after talking to some fellow concerned customers i realised this is a common occurrence, however the issue was quickly resolved by a lovely staff member who gave me a new cup and claimed the machine would be fixed shortly. I went back to my homeboy to discuss the issue and they recommended the DrPepper which was much better than the previous drink - if you could even call it a drink - but still underwhelming. When i sat down to open my meal the seating arrangements were lets just say.. unique. I immediately noticed a big sign that said 'We ❤️ Middlesbrough!' Which i strongly disagreed with, no one in there right mind likes Middlesbrough, not even the people who live there. Never the less i sat down and opened my meal, the food didn't look too appealing... But i dug in nonetheless, i thought the burger tasted a bit strange... Fishy almost. It was also lukewarm, i thought it might just be me as i can be picky sometimes but my homeboy took a bite and exclaimed how it tasted like fish! Wendy's Middlesbrough captain cook square, Absolutely shocking experience from what we believed to be an amazing American fast food experience. We were very disappointed in the the state of the restaurant it self. Tables not cleared the condiment station absolutely decimated and filthy. Tables were not cleaned and no sign of any front of house staff. We ordered through the app while in store and not the ordering stations so when we were put on the right side of the screen after 30min wait after all the left side orders cleared we were finally asked by counter staff why we had not informed them we were there even though we were the only family left waiting. Very poor attitude, lack of staff no cleanliness. Food was ok if not quite sloppy my burger the baconator one patty wasn't cooked it was still pink but I was that disappointed I just left the patty that was under. For nearly £70 for a family of 5 I expect something better than what we experienced. It's a shame as high hopes for this American restaurant...
