This place has gone really downhill, it used to be good but has been so late on the last few orders. The restaurant mark the order as arrived on just eat before it’s been delivered, presumably to make it look like they aren’t so late. Tonight’s was over an hour late (originally ordered for 6:30, the restaurant updated it to 6:50, it finally turned up at 7:35 after I chased them).
The korma was so watered down my wife couldn’t eat it, it tasted like chicken in a bowl of watered down single cream. When I called the restaurant they admitted they’d had a problem with their supplier, and they weren’t happy with the korma’s they were sending out either - yet they were still charging for them and sending them out to customers! Why on earth weren’t we told at the time of order they had trouble with a specific dish we’d paid for?
When I called I was told there was nothing they can do, they’ve sent out a sub standard meal but nothing could be done, apart from they’d “sort something out next time we ordered”. Won’t be using them again, and I’d suggest others don’t either unless they can sort a) their delivery times, b) the food standard, and c)...
Read moreI have no words. Not only did we wait 2 hours for this pile of nothing. I asked for a prawn buna with extra garlic for my food to arrive 2hours late with NO PRAWNS????!!!!!!! Never in my life have I witnessed such extreme unprofessionalism. After the delivery came and the old man that delivered it was in tears apologising restlessly about our wait & how he’d had enough of being over worked by this rude man. The kids are running around the shop.
I call the back the restaurant to ask where are my prawns?.. my mum had a chicken Tawa which she would usually order came more spicy than could possibly imagined- she could not eat this. The rude man told me there wasn’t anything he could do as it was closing time. He told me to call back tomorrow for half a refund?! Are you joking the whole dinner was ruined..
the mango chutney is dish water. The rice is burnt the naan bread I mean the picture speaks for itself. Poppadoms stale. Too hot to eat the curry and no prawns in...
Read moreAs with a good Chinese, a good Indian is like a good wife: once you find one you dig your fingers in and don't let go of it. As far as the food goes, you really couldn't say a bad thing about it. Thoroughly enjoyable and portion sizes decent for the price. The service, though, is above and beyond - in my experience, at least. I live in a very annoying spot to deliver to but it's never been a hint of an issue - and the delivery guy is as sound as you could ask. There are half a dozen Indian takeaways within my area, the rest of which will never hear from me. Cannot recommend Bengal Kitchen...
