Edit: Since the restaurant had the audacity of replying with such “manners” I’m happy to post the call transcript and the call itself as it was received in a recorded monitored line, online to see where the rudeness was, now if you expect a customer not to ask you to cancel an order after 35 mins for a first call to inform that you have nothing of what is advertised available and a second call for more problems than solutions offered by your staff saying the “chef” son is in hospital as a poorly designed excuse, maybe consider hiring and paying the actual hourly rate to a real chef and no someone who’s a cook instead?!, there is something terribly wrong in your management understanding. frustration? I’m okay and got my money back, I don’t need to pay any attention to your poor establishment any further. Wish you the best in the future.
Not impressed whatsoever. Placed an order through ubereats and they call me 25 after accepting the order to “inform me” that they didn’t have 2 out 3 dishes I ordered meaning they do NOT check and update their online menu nor levels of stock, after another 20 min they call me again to let me know now that they are cancelling the order because the “chef” has a personal emergency, which is in all honesty RIDICULOUS, I own 3 restaurants myself in Brighton and Hove and also I’m a professional chef (6 years career) and the simple fact they do NOT have a replacement or on call person, do not check their inventory, and so much more is beyond ridiculous. You just wasted my time for an hour and you lost revenue at the same time. I’m definitely not impressed by any so call restaurants in Hastings anymore. Needs improvements and better management. I would love seeing the staff working in a busy environment with over 5000 guests to serve….. and calling this an Italian restaurant is an offence to be honest I’m originally from Bari in Italy…. That gives...
Read moreWe popped in for lunch on a rainy mid week day, and this little hole-in-the-wall gem could not have been more of a treat. The wood-fired pizzas and garlic bread we had were gorgeous, and clearly lovingly made by the chef behind the counter. You could taste just how fresh the ingredients were, and what a deft hand was putting them to such delicious use. The atmosphere was cozy and friendly; the waitress was very attentive, and we could see the chef chatting with other patrons to craft a meal with their dietary restrictions. My children commented multiple times that they were really enjoying the relaxed jazz music playing as well. All in all, a fab little lunch for a...
Read moreIt was one of those evenings that just felt right. The music played softly in the background. It felt warm, relaxed, and just a little bit magical.
The wine was perfect. We raised our glasses with a quiet chin-chin, and from the first sip, time seemed to slow down. The pasta was delicious — fresh and made with love. Every bite was even better with good conversation.
Honestly, I felt like a special guest, like the place had been waiting just for us. Everything came together so naturally — the food, the music, the atmosphere, and the company.
If you’re looking for a place to spend a beautiful evening, one that touches your senses and stays with you, I truly...
