My girlfriend and I have been going to Hastings odeon every week for the last 9 months. The film prices are a bit much especially if you want to see multiple films. However, we both subscribed to limitless - it really is the best way to watch, we pay £17.99 each per month and we're locked in for 12 months. With this in mind we frequently watch a few films a week and watch every film at least once. When a standard film can cost more than £10.00 and some even close to £20.00 it is more than worth it, especially as we live so close.
Screens 1 and 2 are a little older feeling, whilst screens 3 and 4 are nicer as they were refurbished a few years ago. The floor throughout much of the cinema can sometimes feel a little sticky. Every so often you'll get people talking or being disruptive while the film is playing, although this is not the cinemas fault.
The cinema usually has a good film selection, although if a film that is predicted to be popular and it isn't, it will be swapped out for a film that was popular from the previous line up. This does allow the re watching of films you may have enjoyed.
Someone mentioned if you're over six feet "don't bother attending" as the leg room is cramped, I am 6'3 and have no problem with leg room, unless you'd like to slouch - there is not any real issue with leg room for tall people - unless you're around six and a half feet plus.
The food is pricy and not to mine or my girlfriends taste, although we occasionally buy popcorn or perhaps a slush drink. As limitless card holders we have access to discounts on food, not that we use them it has to be said.
Overall I don't think the small size is cause for concern, I think the fact the cinema has four screens in such a small area is an ingenious use of space.
Overall I'd recommend limitless and Hastings odeon...
Read moreClean and tidy, fantastic customer service where staff always go above and beyond to be friendly and make the most pleasant viewing experience possible. They're always up for a chat about the latest releases and favourite films. You are in good hands at Odeon Hastings especially with Tilly, Hettie, Jade, Luke, Adam, Lewis, Angie, Nikki, Luca, Shaun and Reece. Josh was first class too but unfortunately moved away. They are a great team always up for a chat, they really care about the customer experience and happy to help. Nothing is too much trouble for them! Screens are good sizes with good sound and comfortable newish seating and always warm inside in the winter but cool in the summer. This is much more like an independent family run cinema, you wouldn't even notice it is part of a chain, but the prices don't break the bank and there are great deals up for grabs. Download the app to make the most of offers especially cheap movies every Monday and Screen Unseen advance mystery screenings.
It is no surprise they are the friendliest Odeon in the UK, give it a go and...
Read moreOver the last ten years I've been almost every week to the cinema, often the Odeon in Hastings as it is near to my home. I don't know how it can be called a 'state of the art' cinema. Recently some refurbishment has taken place but there are still cinemas (within the cinema) that are disgustingly sticky under foot and the seats are filthy. Why can't bins be mounted on the walls on the way to the exit as they do in Hailsham cinema? The common areas are also shabby and grubby. At the top of the stairs all the brooms and cleaning materials are on display. The old purple sofas are stained. The staff are generally friendly and knowledgeable - agreed. Re. ice cream tubs - these have become increasingly disappointing. There used to be a good selection of Ben & Jerry ice creams but this is now down to two varieties and I can't help feeling that they're old stock. If fresh in why can't the varieties be increased? We loved...
