Lamarina in Hastings might not catch your eye at first glance, but don’t let its unassuming exterior or modest decor fool you—this place is a true hidden gem. Our family recently had lunch there, and it was a delightful experience in every sense.

First and foremost, the food at Lamarina is incredibly delicious. We have some pretty picky eaters in our family, but even our kids couldn't get enough of the dishes. The hummus, in particular, was out of this world—creamy, flavorful, and undoubtedly the best we've ever had. Every dish we tried was prepared with care and expertise.

What really sets it apart, though, is the warm and welcoming atmosphere created by the owner. She was absolutely lovely, taking the time to enquire about our lives, sharing some of her secret recipes, and engaging warmly with our kids. This personal touch made our dining experience all the more special and memorable.

Despite the high quality of the food and the exceptional service, the prices are very reasonable. It’s refreshing to find such great value in a restaurant that offers both delicious food and a cozy, family-friendly environment.

The food was excellent. The biggest shame is that the service was slow and lethargic; also too chatty at times and completely inattentive at others. Let's just say the lady, whilst being lovely and sweet, is not a natural waiter. Also, the music was good but the rest of the atmosphere gave off a vibe of a closed cafe. The rather non-descript outside doesn't shout "come in, welcome", the tables are not laid up with any cutlery/glasses and the lights were completely off. It was just light enough but wasn't in any way atmospheric. It's a shame they are not making more of the excellent location and nice premises because the food deserves to be celebrated more than...

The food I received was piping hot and smelled wonderful.... though it arrived in crushed containers and disintegrating bags! I don't believe this was the fault of the restaurant, as no restaurant would send their food out like that..... I believe this was the fault of Just Eat , who must have picked up another order and put on top of my order and crushed it! The food I managed to salvage was absolutely delicious though and was every bit as gorgeous as it smelled! I will definitely be using again..,with fingers crossed!
