Old Town Mezze and BBQ — Restaurant in Hastings

Two members of staff had to take our drinks as the first member of staff seem to disappear when they took our order we placed an order for starters and two salads from our main courses starters never appeared until I asked we got complimentary starters of flatbread, cucumber and mint yoghurt thing that was tasteless and some sort of tomato roasted pepper thing that had never seen a bit of garlic in its life. The salads were plain boring and an hour and 45 minutes for two salads. This thing cost us over £55. No apology for how long we ended up waiting for absolute rubbish wouldn’t recommend wouldn’t bother worst Greek food I’ve ever heard as we are only visiting Hastings thought this would be a lovely little restaurant. Never known a Greek restaurant to be able to mess up 2 salads Need to be introduced to seasoning and flavouring and not just olive oil drenched everything Left feeling hungry and really disappointed staff...

If you were like me and the only experience you have of Turkish food is a Kababa after a Friday night drinking session . This is a honist review. My wife and I stayed in Hastings and on a Monday every restaurant was closed apart from fish and chips shops . We noticed this establishment was open. We reluctantly walked through the restaurant door to be greated by a very charming young lady [she was 10] and it was 6pm she asked us if we had booked and when we said no she led us to a table for two. I can honisty say THANK YOU for allowing us to enjoy the best most favorable food I have ever experienced . What a sensation on the taste buds the mixed platter for two dish which was a taste explosion pork lamb beef chicken all done in a separate marinade that was delicious. We had a wonderful experience here! The restaurant has such a cosy and welcoming vibe — warm lighting, stylish decor, and a relaxed atmosphere that makes you want to stay longer. The food was absolutely delicious. The hummus with lamb was creamy and perfectly seasoned, and the prawns in rich tomato and butter sauce were bursting with flavour — easily some of the best we’ve had. Everything was beautifully presented in clay dishes, adding a nice authentic touch. The service was friendly and attentive without being intrusive.
