Upon arrival, me and my acquaintance asked if we could situate ourselves upstairs and then come back downstairs and order food which the staff had no problem with. Upstairs, there was no ventilation at all and so we opened the window, as there was no sign or warning against this. I must express my extreme displeasure with the conduct of the waiter we encountered. His initial approach was marked by a rude and peremptory demand that we close the window. Despite complying with his request, he still displayed a lack of basic courtesy and manners. Subsequently, he insisted upon an immediate order, creating an atmosphere of undue pressure. Following my order, he turned his attention to my companion, asserting that she could not merely occupy the table without orderingâa sentiment we were prepared to respect, yet his manner was entirely inappropriate. When my friend requested a moment to consider her options, the waiter audibly rolled his eyes before pivoting sharply and accusing us of making disparaging remarks behind his back. This behaviour is utterly unprofessional and reflects poorly on the establishment. I was given my beverage (after the extortionate price of ÂŁ2.20) and went downstairs to pay. As I payed for my drink, the male waiter stood in the doorway to the kitchen shaking his head at us dismissively whilst we did absolutely nothing wrong. After paying for my drink me and my friend went to exit the shop and as we did so, the male worker hurriedly chased after us, forcing us to run because we felt genuinely unsafe, and the man was a considerable amount older than us and we are, two teenage girls. We are absolutely disgusted with this manâs behaviour and the way that we were treated and made to feel both unwelcome and unsafe in this establishment. I urge you not to come here and endure the terrors that are âEco Beach Coffee Houseâ. I cannot even fathom the disrespect and am deeply sickened that this company would go to the lengths as extortionate as literally chasing customers out of the shop. It is no wonder that this so called âcoffee houseâ is a...
Read moreIt is clear the extremely rude man, Gerard, who I assume owns this establishment, dislikes children. I can see other negative reviews left about this man's awfully rude behaviour have been posted too, and so it is not a one-off experience.
My friend and I popped in here to quickly grab two takeaway coffees - our first time visiting. We had two toddlers in strollers and 2 excited five-year-olds with us, happily enjoying the school holidays.
There was no one else in the cafe apart from a man working on a table (the lack of customers should have been a sign!) As soon as we ordered our coffees, the man sitting at said table was whipping his head round, rolling his eyes and audibly sighing every time a child spoke. Bearing in mind we had only been stood waiting for a matter of minutes and we were getting these drinks to take away. When I addressed his behaviour, apparently our children were being "too loud" and "climbing over the furniture" - which was untrue, they were simply being excited children, and in no instance did they climb across furniture.
We of course left without our order as we were not prepared to support a business that treats families this way, and I would strongly discourage anyone reading this from...
Read moreAfter a refreshing walk on the beach, my wife and I stumbled upon this cozy gem of a café. The space exudes warmth and charm, with delightful wall art that adds to its peaceful ambiance. Everything here is made fresh to order, you can feel it pretty much.
We treated ourselves to hot chocolate, raspberry cake, chocolate orange cake, and two sandwiches. While all the food was excellent, the standout for me was the velvety hot chocolate served with whipped cream - it was like a warm hug, washing away any trace of fatigue I had from all the traveling. The chocolate orange cake, however, was simply divine - an absolute must try if you have a sweet tooth too! We were served in 15-20 minutes. At the time there were no other customers and the food was prepared fresh, totally worth it for us.
The atmosphere was inviting, made even more special by our lovely host, a kind and welcoming elderly gentleman. Itâs the kind of place that feels like a hidden retreat, perfect...
