A couple of weeks back I bought some cheese and a prepacked amount of prosciutto from Roberto's. The stated weight on the pack was 136 grams, at £55 per kilo, enough for 4, with melon as a starter (I was entertaining). On portioning up i realised I wouldn't have enough, so I weighed the prosciutto on my accurate digital scales. The net weight of the prosciutto was 95 grams. So, I am paying £55 per kilo for 40 grams of packaging! I queried this with Roberto via FB messenger and he said pop in and he said pop in and he'd sort that out for me. Today I popped in and he explained that the price on the pack is including the packaging and offered me a cookie 'to compensate'. I declined and suggested that the price on the packaging should state the net weight, not the total weight at £55 per kilo. He said they were in the process of doing this. He wasn't willing to slice me a set number of slices fresh. 'We don't do that, we only sell by the pack, it costs money to turn on the slicing machine'. Never in my 50 years of frequenting Italian delicatessences have I been refused freshly sliced charcuterie. So I left the shop with a sour taste in my mouth, feeling somewhat disillusioned. Yes the quality of the products in the shop are excellent, but I felt a little cheated at the end of the day. Btw, the Pecorino was honestly marked up, at...

This is my favourite new place to shop in St Neots - we moved here recently and my hubby found it on a side street and was so excited to show me. I can't believe we've moved to a town with a fantastic genuine Italian Deli - the place smells amazing, the food is delicious - they do fresh gelato in a range of flavours, plus incredible fresh home-made pizza, and Sardinian specialities - Roberto & his wife are so friendly and considerate - my hubby used to love pizza but he's now lactose intolerant and whilst Buffalo Mozzarella doesn't have lactose it burns quickly so Roberto offered to add it to the pizza for the last few mins so it didn't get overdone - so thoughtful & kind of him - can't wait to pop in...

Horrible, rudest owner i’ve ever met I came here with my family and he proceeded to shout at my brother for bringing in a subway sandwich which we reluctantly bought as they sold out of paninis and he doesn’t eat pizza at all.We could not let him starve while we ate thats why we brought it. There was genuinely no reason to react the way he did as when his wife said he couldn’t eat here,he immediately apologised and left.He still proceeded to yell at my brother and say “ I don’t care he’s a kid” We will never come to this establishment again its embarrassing to be such an owner like this he clearly does not own kids. His wife was very nice to us and even acknowledged his own wrongdoings , Will...

This place is AMAZING! The staff are so friendly and helpful, it’s a really warm and welcoming atmosphere inside. We had a Pizza, Sausage roll and Tiramisu and all is can say is wow wow wow. The pizza was genuinely the best I’ve ever had and they are so generous with the toppings. All the ingredients are of extremely high quality and you can really tell. The Tiramisu and Sausage roll were both utterly delicious also. Oh and we also had a scoop of lemon sorbet and a scoop of salted caramel, both were so so good. I’ve had the olives in there also and they are 10/10. I can’t wait to go back and try more!! Everything is well worth the money, I cannot recommend this place highly enough.

Very expensive and prices not displayed clearly. Pricing doesn’t become clear until food is already packaged up and it feels too late to refuse. As an example, the sundried tomatoes were charged at £36/kilo. For comparison, sundried tomatoes are £8/kilo from the supermarket. Whilst I don’t mind paying a bit of a premium to support a local shop, charging over 4x the price is extortionate. The quality wasn’t particularly good either. Buyers beware!
