Food is usually pretty tasty, but service is always poor. For example, went in yesterday with my two young kids who were quite loud as they were hungry, so we were obviously there. We stood waiting to be seen for 5 minutes. There were about 6 people working behind the counter but none of them spoke to us. I tried to catch someones eye but all I got were occasional vacant stares straight through me. The only thing stopping me from walking out was that I thought someone must be about to serve me and if I were to have left then it would have all been for nothing. Eventually I walked over to a till and started asking if anyone could serve me. Initially no one registered that I was talking to them, so I kept having to raise my voice until I ended up shouting. That got someone's attention and a visibly panicked person was sent to clean a table and directed us to it. When I went to the till to place our order and there was a person in front of me trying to get a staff member's attention for about 2 minutes. When the food came my kids got theirs a few minutes behind mine showed up which meant they were almost finished when I'd started. Mine was missing some of the ingredients so I had to call over the counter for anyone's attention. I get it that places can be busy, but all they need to do is have some awareness of customers and to tell them that they've been seen and that someone will be with them shortly. On another day I tried to enquire what their gluten free options were but I was met with blank expressions. I had to explain multiple times in different ways what I was trying to enquire about and ultimately gave up as it felt pointless. Most, if not all staff seem to not have English as a first language, so I understand that there'll be translational issues, but being able to understand dietary requirements is really important. I had a really good first experience there, but every subsequent visit has been progressively worse. I don't know anywhere else like it in Ipswich, but I've been left feeling like I have to find somewhere else to go as the service is so awful. Shame as the...
Read moreI love Kaspas desserts, i worked for a kaspas branch for a few years and it's very disappointing seeing how run down the Ipswich one is. Each time me and my partner order the food is either wrong or cold and melted. It's hard to enjoy a nice dessert at home as everytime we try to give Ipswich kaspas a chance it always let's us down. Today our order arrive cold and missing items - the waffle cold and Ice cream melted, Banoffee dough cold and with no bananas?? How can you miss bananas in a Banoffee..
We called in around 7 times in total with no answer, we thought it might be busy so gave them the benifit of the doubt and drove there instead to report this reacurring issue. When we showed up the shop wasn't even that busy. Even if busy the standards of food we get shouldn't be this low! While trying to resolve this issue with the manager two of the ladies behind the counter making food kept talking and snickering at us as if we made all this up and it was somehow the customers fault...
I would love to have a good experience with Kaspas as previous branches didn't disappoint me, and as I've said I have a close space in my heart for kaspas as I've worked there before so I do know how things work within the store.
Sadly not many other places do desserts for delivery for those lay in weekend we all love, so kaspas is our only choice :/.

Read moreI visited Kaspa's tonight with my 2 daughters and I was not impressed with the person who took my order. When I told him my order that I would like "create your own" order please: 1 waffle with1 scoop of chunky chocolate ice cream and added whipped cream; he then asked me "do I like cream or ice cream on the side" I then replied "No" I do not want cream or ice cream on the side, could I please...(repeat my order).... The person still asked me the same thing so I had to repeat it to him second and thrid time. The taking order person who I believe is a manager on shift spoke to me very rush and talked down at me, also gave me an impolite tone of vioce and told me that I made him confused although I have tried to speak to him politely. It really surprise me how a simple oder could turn in such confusion when all i would like it so simple. When received my ordered, everything was wrong as my oder turn out to be crape instead of waffle and another soft serve ice cream on the side that I did not asked for and there is no whipped cream that I asked for!!!! It has really change your mood how the person talked to you in such a rush, talked down at you, and a person is confused himself and blamed at you that you has confused him, and all the trouble that it went he still got your order wrong. This is a pricely desert place as my simple order of " create my own" costed me £7.20 but the experiece and the way you have been spoke to is unacceptable. I will never ever visit this place again and I would prefer a better service and a better quality of desert for the price that...
