Never write reviews but honestly probably the worst service and atmosphere from this McDonalds
There was not one empty table in sight that was clean. It was filthy and no sign of cleaning in sight. I tried to ask the lady to clean my table she ignored me and walked out of my way. She eventually answered me after the third ask and snapped back at me saying she was busy, she’ll be over soon and it was only her and another man on the floor and walked off. (Btw, She never came over!) After waiting for ages, we then seen a table that was slightly better and moved to it and it was only slight better because the previous customer had cleaned it up before they left. I’m sorry, but I have seen this McDonald’s WAY busier than what it was when I was there on Saturday. The standards have seriously dropped, considering the standards and procedures during Covid times, these seem to have completely disappeared. Customers had left trays and rubbish on the tables beside us and they weren’t lifted for the entire time we were there. Rubbish was on tables when we sat down and still didn’t get lifted at all. It was seriously not acceptable. Some people went as far as cleaning it themselves. It was disgusting and there was no reason at all why nothing could be cleared or cleaned. I have worked in hospitality and understand the stress sometimes but this was totally unacceptable and the attitude of staff members. The lady that said she was busy was walking about as unconcerned, clearly didn’t want to be there. There was a few men on the floor, one was talking more than working to foyleside security and cleaning staff. The other man I saw was fine, brought food over and I’ve seen him a few times working there but he also didn’t clear the tables that were sitting dirty.

Read moreService was terrible, waited 20 minutes for food. Once I received my BACON double cheeseburger, I noticed it had one pathetic slice of bacon (image 1). Therefore I returned it and was issued a replacement and an apology. Once I unwrapped my new burger I was once again disappointed by the pathetic piece of bacon (image 2). How hard is it to add the correct amount of bacon? However, I suppose fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. That will be the last time I step foot in foyleside McDonald's.
Update: I'm a man of second chances. I returned to McDonald's Foyleside. Despite my fear and apprehension I entered the humble fast food restaurant. In order for a fair retrial I ordered the same dish (Bacon Double Cheeseburger) albeit 5 months later, I do admire the consistency of the McDonald's menu. These false pretences of respect and civility were not to last, as when I ordered the bacon double cheese burger I was once again deeply saddened by the underwhelming amount of cured pork aka BACON (image 3). Between the impressive scope of architecture within the shopping centre and the false wolf in sheep's clothing smile that adorns each McDonald's employee face, you may be deceived into believing that this establishment will treat you with dignity and respect. However, as far as fairness and consistency goes they have no time for you. Read moreService and staff worst I have ever experienced. Waited 30 mins for 2 small hamburgers and a Diet Coke and order still not ready even though my order number was on screen to be collected. Demanded a refund which was processed however never completed on my card. Kids joking behind counter slagging off customers, VERY rude to me, they averaged the age of 15 and looked so incompetent, untrained and unhygienic. No hair nets, staff collecting money, touching front counter, then back to handling food without washing / sanitising hands . Manger said they were short of staff when I suggested they should not take anymore orders or suspend new orders, she claimed it had to be open I wanted to complain about staff member but was advised they will sort themselves.
