Would highly recommended not using this cafe if you wish for a good quality meal. I recently tried the pigs in blankets with chips and cheese, and it was vile to the point that it made me want to puke. The pigs in blankets were burnt beyond any real taste, and the chicken or what I assumed to be chicken was disgusting, along with what ever the marinade was, utterly vile and unedible. No one even came over to ask if everything was OK, as normally assumed in a cafe of this alleged expectancy. I left hungry and disappointed.

My next bad review. So after my previous visit, I thought 'Hey', 'Give them one more try'.

Miserable staff, and yet again no one ce over to ask how meal was. Had to ask for a clean set of cutlery as the ones I had been given were filthy. The member of staff was very hostile, no apology, and a new set of mining cutlery was given (I rinsed them off in the sink next to the condements). This time I had eggs benedict. And all I can say is that it was cheap and tasteless with an expensive price tag.

Certainly won't be bringing custom to Bob and Berts again. And it's a real shame as it's not long opened. However, plenty more good places to eat in Lancaster. I would also suggest that Bob and Bert's ask staff to turn the music down a notch, as no one appreciates shouting in order to have a general conversation or indeed...

This is my review based on my recent visit on Monday. One of the servers was down with cold. She was neither wearing a face mask nor gloves while serving the food! This is so unhygienic!!!!! Also, why do your servers generally look so unkempt. Sometimes, there clothes are untidy and sometimes, it seems that they have not even combed their hair. Your staff looks unprofessional!!

I went to Bob & Bert's, Lancaster for breakfast today around 9:15 am. I wanted to have a veggie Panini and it was a stay in order. I had to repeat thrice to the server what I wanted ! I even pointed out but she still didn't get it ! Then she asked me about salad, I wasn't able to decide so I asked her what would you suggest. She could not or didn't want to understand what I asked...yet again. And looked at me saying, "Sorry...what I suggest...I didn't get you!". But when I said that I want a take away Cappuccino, she heard that in one go ! She didn't even apologize and ask me if I wanted the Panini ! She was okay with me not staying in. I don't know why this happened but it was definitely a horrible experience. I went there for the first time today ! Maybe, the music was too loud or maybe, she wasn't interested me serving me a...

Luckily I live in the first English city to host a Bob & and Bert's coffee house.

The restaurant wasn't supposed to be open for another 2 days, yet on walking past the doors were wide open and welcoming customers.

On entry we were greeted by a very friendly Irish chap, who explained how to order etc.

The place is very warm and welcoming in its design and decor. Very well lit.

The menu is surprisingly large. Enough so that I couldn't make my mind between the burgers, the dog's, the melts or chicken tenders!

Having eventually chosen, the order process was quick, friendly and efficient.

The wait on food was hardly any at all.

The meals came hot and well presented. Portion sizes on point and everything full of flavour.

Have to say that the whole experience went very well and surprisingly smooth for a restaurant that has just opened with everyone finding there feet.

I can see a number of Irish team members overlooking everything. They're skiing a great job of doing so, as everything is running on point.

Very positive first impression of visiting this brand. I'll certainly be returning again for some more...

Was so excited that acai bowls have finally come to Lancaster, so I'm really hesitant to leave this review in case they go away. But this was actually outrageous. £8.50 (plus £1.50 for a sauce that was forgotten to be added on, just completely absent!) for the teeniest tiniest little crumble of acai you ever did see?! I've had this eat-in once before and it was fine (2 or 3 scoops), but my Godddddd this to-go was such a rip off!!!!!!!! You can see in my photo how there's not even half a scoop at the bottom of that cup - if they were running out they should have just said that they were out of stock of these bowls today. When I actually ate it, it was so crumbly and full of air that there was even less than it looks - less than two small mouthfuls. So so disappointing, and really feel like a tenner has been thrown away.

Utterly disappointed! I ordered phily steak sandwich and chips +drink about £10. And even the chips (the most basic food was poorly made, hard & burnt- see the picture & pardon the yukky presentation, i was really starving). The sandwich was cold even though i ordered in the outlet . I asked for no onions and was told raw onions would not be in the sandwich - not true! The sandwich was full of sugary sauce, i could not taste the steak. Oh and the handling of my take away cutlery by the cash lady was very unhygienic. Wish I had listened to the negatives reviews, i was better of going to another place for lunch. £8.50 for such an underwhelming sandwich? Never again! FYI, I was drawn to the branding and exciting colours of the Bob & Berts outlet. Maybe the sweets & coffee are better but I'm never finding out!
