Had a delicious lunch out for my wife's birthday. It was busy but we were seated almost straight away, we had expected to have to wait for a while to be seated as I am in a wheelchair. We were told immediately that there was a 45 to 50 minute wait on food but our meal turned up within half an hour. The wait staff were excellent, as we were seated we were asked if we had any allergies in the party and the staff went into detailed knowledge about their allergy procedures and directed us to further information at the table (scan the QR code at the table). The food arrived promptly and was fresh, hot and absolutely delicious (I ate the first beefburger I have had in the last 5 years, I'm not a fan of red meat) and all the allergy instructions we gave them were followed, including marking my meal with a red flag on a toothpick so that it could be tracked in the kitchens. I can honestly say that it was one of the easiest and enjoyable meals we have been to in a while and we cannot rate them highly enough. The only thing I can think of that is a down point is that you cannot book tables prior to showing up but even that is only me being extremely picky. We can't wait to return definitely our...

Recently went for breakfast after we stayed over for the night in Lancaster. Lovely staff very helpful surrounding allergies. Love that it is a nut free kitchen. Huge range of choice. I don’t know whether this is maybe why the quality of the food differs… I went for the breakfast muffin which was delicious. My boyfriend went for a burger. It arrived with half the items missing. I felt it did take a while for the food to come out. Wasn’t overly busy at this time. Looking at the size and the quality / taste of the burger it was not worth the £20 we spent. He also bought a side of mac and cheese for £5 and it was a tiny portion. Cokes were also flat unfortunately. There is a water station however glasses are tiny. So, you’d need to keep going up and filling them. I feel a jug for the table would be more appropriate. The scenery is lovely. I just feel that maybe a smaller menu will allow them to focus on what they do best! My boyfriend and I said we would come back but maybe stick to the breakfast items! The full English looked...

I was surprised by Gallico Lounge, I assumed it wouldn't be up to much but I couldn't have been more wrong. I've been there 5 or 6 times now in the last few months for drinks and food, each time the service has been excellent, as is the choice of drinks. Ordering from the website rather than queuing at the bar works really well too. The food has been great every time I've eaten, and even though they have a large menu it appears that it's all freshly cooked, is well presented and delivered in a timely fashion. They seem to have lots of choices for vegetarians/vegans. We really liked the Beyond Meat Cheeseburger, which was unlike any veggie burgers we've ever tried before. We went today for my daughter's birthday and the staff were very helpful making sure her order was right when I ordered it wrong and bringing out the birthday cake we had brought in, even joining in with a chorus of happy birthday too! All great experiences so far, I hope they keep it up, Lancaster needs more good...

Good food and great service, especially given that it was full during our Monday lunchtime visit. It is totally open plan - making it very loud however, which meant everyone’s conversations required a shouty voice. The venue’s decor is quite nice and quirky but it has a slightly industrial feel - with unattractive bare concrete ceilings that let it down. You are invited to find a free table yourself and are (quickly) given paper Menüs to choose from, after which you either order up at the bar in person or through a convenient mobile App provided at each table. Lunch for two was made up of 2 mains, 1 side order and 2 drinks costing £24.50 in total. The gents’ toilets were very clean and nicely presented, but a bit chilly and lacked any decent heating. Would we go back? Yes but at a quieter time of day so that we didn’t have to shout at each other and had a wider choice of tables (reservations not taken at the time of writing this review mid March 2020).

I’ve been to Gallico a few times now with my daughter. The food is amazing , trying new foods that I wouldn’t normally put together has definitely opened our pallets a lot more. Tapas is really nice, smash burger with slow beef on top was delicious, only slight negative was the chips are quite bland even after putting salt on them. It’s definitely our new place to go to for food while shopping in Lancaster. My daughter is vegetarian I tried her food which was also really nice. Fresh cold water you can help your self too is a bonus too. The atmosphere is nice and chilled, staff are lovely. Although our last visit it was quite loud due to a group of guys drinking and shouting , the staff did tell them to keep the noise down. Previous visitors it was really chilled and quiet. Ordering from the table with the QR code saves so much time too. I highly recommend Gallico , there’s a lot of options on the menu including kids menu.

Really atmospheric, feels akin to 'faded grandeur', love the use of recycled materials ie tables, chairs, glass lamps, standard lamps, flooring etc. Great selection of art/prints/photos. I like to be able to order from my phone/an app. Free WiFi, pleasant, smiling staff, held door open for lady with a pushchair. Love the idea of 'industrial ceiling' made the whole environment feel light and airy, great place for large groups as they're unlikely to overwhelm other diners. Very good selection on the menu, vegan vegetarian and meat eaters. NOT expensive. Good choice of wines, beers, ciders, cocktails and soft and hot drinks. Overall a really lovely place for breakfast, lunch, snacks and evening meals or just drinks and tapas. The Piached eggs on muffins with hollandaise sauce and your choice of breakfast item, I had mushrooms and hubby had bacon. Delicious and just the right amount. Visited here 6 times now.
