The Tap House — Restaurant in Lancaster

Don't order the Chardonnay! Mine was off/awful/been open too long. Politely asked them to change it and the surly waitress refused so I just left it on the bar. Felt a little threatened when an abrupt barman then approached me at our table to say that 'he wasn't happy' as most people usually 'rave' about the wine(?). Awful. Last went here during lockdown when the dopey barmaid forgot I was in the pub despite the fact that there was only 2 other people there. A bloke sat at the bar with a laptop who was clearly involved in the running of the pub totally ignored me. I left, swore I wouldn't go back. This USED to be one of the best pubs in Lancaster. I came in this evening, they've absolutely ruined it. All the quirks, great beer and lively atmosphere have been stripped away, what's left is a soul-less overpriced, awful shambles.
