Having eventually ordering my food and drink having waited nearly 10 minutes to be served on what was not a particularly busy time. When it came I noted the abruptness of the staff member who served me, she approached the table and asked who had ordered the breakfast, I was just about to say that was myself when she practically slammed it on the table in front off my friend. This was the first of numerous unacceptable interactions I had with her.
I then got up to get some condiments which she didn’t bother telling me where they were, as I turned round she had cleared the table next to me and picked up the plate from my friend who had eaten and deliberately stood in my way and made me wait, I was very surprised with just how rude she was.
I then sat down to eat what can only be described at best as an average cooked breakfast. Half way through eating my breakfast she then walked over to the table and very rudely in an almost demanding manner without any politeness practically demanded that my friend to pass her the breakfast menu.
I watched her cleaning tables and serving customers with a very unwelcoming attitude and was debating if I should comment due to her manner which appeared like she really did not enjoy working as a waitress. She then approached our table and without asking if I had finished picked up my plate with an extremely sour attitude, while doing so she knocked my phone in my hand with the plate and walked off.
At this point I had decided I wanted to make a complaint, I went to the bar and asked to speak to a manager. I was asked what about and stated it was to complain about a staff member. I was then told the manager was downstairs and that I would have to wait.
I waited for at least 5 minutes and the manager came out in a very unwelcoming manner and asked what I wanted. The manager was non other than the obnoxious waitress who I had the issue with. I asked if she was the manager and she said yes and then told her that I was surprised as a manager she acted so unprofessionally. She then told me I was wrong and that it hadn’t happened. At this point I walked off knowing I was wasting my time and went to finish my coffee.
We were then approached by a member of staff 5 mins after and asked to leave, when we asked why we were not given an answer.
Another staff member then came across and for some bizarre reason took pictures of us. We then found out that he was a manager. I am absolutely appalled that he did not deal with the issue. Not only in the first place but secondly when we were asked to leave.
It became apparent the issue I was enquiring about would need to be handled by the duty manager competent at their job, unfortunately no such member of staff was working at the establishment at that time.
The lack of not only customer service skills but also management skills in this branch is very alarming, I am very surprised at the lack of management ability to resolve the issue and offer no useful assistance.
At no point was I rude, aggressive nor threatening and find it very concerning that this is the way customers are treated when they have a genuine issue with the standard of service. All of this incident will obviously be on your cctv and I would asked that it be reviewed as I have absolutely nothing to hide.
I firmly believe that these staff members need retraining in customer services and the managers are unfit to be management material.
Customer Services are also a farce as they took the word of the staff member in question and practically called me a liar.
I find it interesting that an independent review from mine around the same time has also left a similar review. I suppose you will insinuate they are also liars!
I don't believe it to be coincidence and can say I will never spend another penny in wetherspoons again.
I guarantee more customers will have the same standard of treatment and the company won't be interested in the slightest.
Avoid this establishment!!!!!!!
0/10 all round.

Read moreHonestly, I can not express how utterly pathetic this place was. We visited Leeds for the magic weekend. Came here Sunday for two breakfasts and two lunches. We were surprised that it wasn't busier, but maybe people know how bad it is. Found a table, table 1 Went on the app. The app was down. We asked one of the staff, who was nice, if food was being served, they stated that it was, but you needed to go the bar. No big deal. Went the bar got constantly ignored as people walked up and got served. I was beginning to think I'd become invisible overnight. Finally got served. There were no vegetarian burgers on the menu at all. They do have plant based and hallumi, but no vegetable ones. No chicken breast burgers. They have deep-fried chicken burgers but no grilled chicken. Decided on Pizzas - Sorry no pizzas. Went for Panninis - Sorry no Panninis. There wasn't a single vegetarian dish on for my wife. I returned to the table and decided to order drinks on the App as I didn't want to be ignored a second time. Meanwhile, my brother and sister in law ordered a large breakfast. It came with chips instead of hash browns. The chips were utterly disgusting. They were not Wetherspoon Chips, but refried chips from god knows where. The toast was a crime against the trade description act and could not even be held up without curling over. My sister in law got a refund as it was disgraceful, but my brother just ate his as he knew there was nothing else. When my sister in law asked about the hash browns, she was told that they had run out. Meanwhile twenty minutes later we went to the bar to enquire about our drinks which hadn't arrived. We gave up on them as well and got a refund. Walked out of the pub in disbelief. Oh, and to add insult to injury as we were walking out, there was plate after plate going out the kitchen of breakfast with, guess what??? Yes, HASH BROWNS. We went to the Griffin Greene King pub and wish we had just gone there first. One thing I will say was that the bouncers were lovely as we went in. They were the highlight of a...
Read moreMe and my daughter called in here yesterday for drinks. We’ve been In there a few times previously and we have found the place to be really nice and the staff very welcoming and friendly. But For some reason they’ve got a young man works behind the bar,who wears his hair Tied back in a man bun He also has a beard I think he’s got some problem with serving women. I stood at the bar almost 10 minutes waiting to be served he walked past me at least 4 times in the meantime other people came in Through the door straight up to The bar and he Served them immediately!! I found this quite Annoying and ignorant and we left.!! Which is sad really as we were gonna spend a couple of hours there but with that attitude I don’t think so I think my money would be best spent elsewhere so that’s what we did!! To be honest with you,I’ll think twice about going back in there.he’d already done the same thing to my daughter 20 minutes previous when she went to the bar. I found these actions quite misogynistic I don’t know what his problem was but he obviously did not want to serve me. I can appreciate a pub being busy and it was quite busy and they only had probably two members of staff behind the bar serving and The others were basically collecting plates serving meals and going around collecting glasses off tables and serving meals .We found these staff very nice and polite. With that young man being the exception!! to be honest I found it him quite rude and ignorant to just to walk past me like I was invisible. He 100% saw me waiting to be served and chose to ignore me and served others!!! I suggest you have a staff meeting and tell him to be a bit more attentive to people waiting to get drinks and prioritise people stood waiting for ages to be served instead of purposely leaving women stood 10 mins at the bar and serving men whom just walked in off the street, If he does that a lot, I can see you will be losing money because you lost quite a bit yesterday because we’re waiting for five other people to arrive so your loss we...
