Blue Sakura in Leeds offers an exceptional dining experience that seamlessly blends exquisite flavors with a vibrant atmosphere. From the moment you step inside, you're greeted with a warm ambiance and attentive service that sets the tone for an unforgettable meal. One dish that stands out is the Salt and Pepper Chicken. Each bite is a perfect balance of crispy coating and tender meat, seasoned to perfection with a blend of spices that leave your taste buds dancing. Equally impressive are the Beef Steak Skewers. The meat is succulent and grilled to perfection, delivering a burst of savory goodness with every bite. For those who enjoy a touch of sweetness with a hint of spice, the Honey Chilli Chicken is a must-try. The chicken is glazed with a luscious honey sauce that pairs beautifully with the subtle heat of the chili, creating a harmonious and mouthwatering combination. As for dessert, the Chinese Fried Buns are an absolute revelation. Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, these buns are taken to the next level when dipped in the rich, velvety condensed milk. They were so delicious, I could have easily devoured two portions by myself! As for pricing, it is more on the pricy side. For myself and my partner it was a total of £101.90, including service charge&drinks. They didn’t make us feel uncomfortable for wanting to take off the service charge which is good! I don’t think our meals were worth nearly £50 each, if it was an all you can eat style buffet, then it would’ve been worth it, but because the limit is 30 dishes, £50 each is just ridiculous! Only thing I can complain about is the price to be honest, Blue Sakura please put your prices down! The price is the only reason why we only treat ourselves there once every 2-3 months, otherwise we would definitely go every week for date night! Overall, Blue Sakura Leeds excels in both its culinary offerings and its inviting atmosphere. Whether you're a fan of classic flavors or looking to try something new, this restaurant is sure to leave a lasting impression. Highly recommended

We'd heard really good things about this restaurant, and being a big fan of Japanese food I just had to try it. My fiancé and I went on a Thursday evening for the All You Can Eat dinner, which cost us just under £30 each (drinks not included). We booked a table in advance for 6pm, and while the place was pretty empty when we arrived 20 minutes early, we were glad we did book as the place was packed by about an hour later. The All You Can Eat option allows you to choose up to 30 dishes off the menu per person, but you can only order up to 5 items at a time so as to not swamp the kitchen. Orders are placed on a tablet set up for your table, and almost all items had a photo and description of ingredients. Drinks are ordered through the tablet too. This means service is very smooth as staff only have to seat guests, bring out the food and drink once ready, and handle bills and payments. This also meant all the staff who served us were incredibly friendly and seemed a lot less stressed. Dishes are brought to the table as they are each ready, so each item in one order may come separately. The food itself is fantastic. The maki dishes especially are extremely generous, and while portions for the hot dishes are understandably small given the nature of the restaurant they are incredibly tasty. We'd personally recommend the beef skewers and the yakisoba/yakiudon. As a big fan of takoyaki, I was so happy to see it on the menu here, though it (like several other dishes) is only available during the evening service for All You Can Eat customers (an a la carte dining experience is also an option, but all guests at the table must choose the same dining option). Food came out quickly and the kitchen paid attention to our requests, such as our in-app selections for how spicy the dishes were, and requests for no wasabi and no bell peppers. The décor was also beautiful and very in keeping with the Japanese nature of the restaurant. We will definitely be eating here again, and bringing our families!

A weekday lunch visit brought us to Blue Sakura. All you can eat £26.95. Time limit 1.5 hours. You can only order in the first hour. Customers order from the table using the menu on a tablet and food is brought to the table, freshly prepared. Once done with a dish you can order more etc, etc. or alternatively order everything you want in one hit. Whatever suits you. The entire menu is halal and there is a ton of choice. Cooked meats, chicken and fish dishes, rice dishes, Korean dishes, sushi, sashimi, noodle dishes, deep fried dishes the options are endless. The dishes all come in small portion sizes too so you get to try different things which is nice. (Stating the obvious here I know) drinks are extra. We ordered as we went along so we could enjoy everything fresh and also so that we didn’t over order and waste anything. Also good to note… The restaurant has a no waste policy and if customers are seen to be over ordering and wasting food then they apply a surcharge which I think is great. Food was immaculately presented, tasted delicious and the price we paid was great value for money. We had a lovely lunch however the 1.5hr time limit did make us feel quite rushed and we were rushing when deciding what dishes to order so that we didn’t overshoot the one hour ordering time limit. I understand the need for the time limit (they don’t want people stay around for hours on end ) but I still felt pressure and it wasn’t quite the relaxing meal I expected. Hence the four stars. Other than that we absolutely loved our meal and definitely recommend the restaurant it’s a beautiful interior and the staff were absolutely wonderful and polite. We’ll definitely be visiting again and now we know what to expect I’m sure it will be a more relaxed visit. Pop in if you get the chance, you won’t be disappointed.

We came here for the evening all you can eat dinner and loved it! It’s “small plates” style dishes that are served. You order as many as you like from iPads at the table, so you don’t have to wait for anyone to come and take your order. This is so much better than a buffet that you have to queue for like a lot of other restaurants. All the dishes were beautifully presented and delicious. The staff were all welcoming and very attentive, despite it being very busy at the time we went. My only criticism is the soft drinks were a little expensive (in my opinion) with the prices for soft drinks being just a few pounds less than the alcoholic ones. Alcohol was reasonably priced so I just stuck with wine - if you don’t drink alcohol, you will have little choice but to buy an expensive soft drink. Though not a huge issue, just consider this when choosing a drink. The mocktails were pretty good too, I’d say these are worth the price as they are hand made but I think £3+ for a Diet Coke that’s just poured into the glass is a bit unreasonable. I would still come again though as the price for the food is very reasonable so this balances it out. It was a birthday dinner so a little bowl of ice cream with a sprinkler was brought to our table 😊 The bill came to just over £185 for 3 of us, including the alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks. Aside from my above comment about the soft drinks, the overall cost of the bill is definitely worth it for all the food you get and I can’t fault the place. This review doesn’t do Blue Sakura justice with the limited photos I took but it’s definitely worth a visit and we are hoping to return soon.

Oh wow! Don’t have a single bad thing to say about Blue Sakura. Amazing all-you-can-eat Japanese and Korean food - you order on the iPad they place on your table (we recommend 3-4 dishes at a time due to space and not wanting waste!), and everything is made fresh, whether it’s from the grill, teppanyaki, wok, or sushi bar. If you’re new to this kind of thing, don’t worry - the staff will walk you through how to order, and the menu has pictures and descriptions of all the items so you can be sure of what you’re getting! Cocktails are amazing - no sickly alcohol taste and very well balanced and presented. Hot food is hot and cold food is cold - our absolute FAVAOURITES were the chicken/beef teriyaki bao, pumpkin croquettes, Dynamite Roll, and cooked spicy salmon temaki. Do not pass-up the ‘fried buns’ (the only dessert on their lunchtime menu), which are lovely and crispy on the outside but fluffy and cloud-like on the inside, and comes with a little pot of condensed milk to dip or drizzle. Finally, the staff - so funny, friendly, and welcoming. Most dishes (depending on how it is prepared or cooked) are out in 5-10minutes after ordering, and this was on a busy Saturday lunch sitting. They’re so efficient and professional, and nothing ever feels rushed or impersonal. I will recommend this to anyone, and we will absolutely be back!

£47.95 for a Buffet!!!! Blue Sakura looks great. The staff are really good. But the food is average at best.I'm not sure I liked being spoken to like a child by the waitress. "Don't waste food or else"??? She may not have used them exact words, but that's how it felt. Essentially, this is a buffet. I did not think I was going to a buffet. The only thing different to a normal buffet is that you pre-order what you want, and they bring it to you. It comes out really quick, which means it's already cooked. That is not a good sign. If you like buffet food (which we know can be pretty poor), then there are places you can go to where you can get reasonable food at a reasonable price. Then you shovel it down your gob. This is not that place. The sushi was poor, and the rest of the food was pretty average. The only things that were good were the prawn tempura, chicken wings, and lamb chops. However, being ripped off for reasonable price food is not what I want to get involved in. Some dishes may reflect the high cost, but there were some that did not meet the high standard. In the end, with drinks that came to £66.00 each. If you are a big eater and can pack away lots, then you will love this place. You have only 2 hours, tho. Then you get kicked out.
