West Riding — Restaurant in Leeds

There were 13 in our party dining at The West Riding. The food was great, I had the Christmas turkey meal. It was a generous portion and tasty, the tomato soup as starter was hot (temperature) and well flavoured. 4 of us ate from the festive menu and the rest from the regular main menu. I had good reports back on the other food which included steak pie, fish and chips, gammon and eggs and rump steak, said to be very tasty and cooked to requested finish. The process before hand in making a large booking was made easy by the helpful manager and on the night the staff were well drilled and got the meals on the table together. we had booked a 40th birthday party at a venue in Leeds which cancelled with less than 24 hours before the party was due to start. A quick call to the west riding and they agreed to host the party at short notice, cordoning off an area for our guests and allowing us to bring in the DJ and food which we had already booked for the previous venue. Nothing was too big an ask for them and they ensured our evening went off without a hitch, thanks to their assistance the party was a huge success and we had an amazing night. This was a proper good Sunday roast. The beef was really tender and full of flavour, and the gravy was rich and tasty, just how it should be. Roast potatoes were crispy on the outside, fluffy inside, and the Yorkshire pudding was big and perfectly done. There was loads of veg too, broccoli, green beans, cabbage, cauliflower, all cooked spot on and added a nice bit of freshness to the plate.
