I am writing to formally express my disappointment regarding the terrible service we experienced at your Kirkstall, Cardigan Fields Leeds branch on 01/02/2025. This was supposed to be a special evening as we came to celebrate our son’s birthday, but unfortunately, it was completely ruined due to the unprofessional behavior of your staff.
We were given a wait time of an hour and a half, which we accepted and waited patiently outside. However, when we enquired about our table, we were told that we had been called three times—something we never received. After investigating, we found out that the staff member taking our details had written down the wrong phone number. When I pointed this out, instead of acknowledging the mistake and offering a solution, she became defensive, accused me of shouting (which was absolutely not the case), and then inappropriately referred to my sister as “my wife” — which was both rude and unprofessional. I was literally disgusted at this point.
Her attitude was unacceptable, showing zero customer service skills or basic hospitality manners. Rather than taking responsibility for the error, she was dismissive, confrontational, and made an already frustrating situation worse. This level of incompetence and poor behavior is completely unacceptable for a customer-facing role.
A birthday celebration was turned into a stressful and unpleasant experience, and I feel that this issue needs to be properly addressed by management. I expect a formal response regarding this complaint, as no customer should be treated in such a manner.
I have always enjoyed dining at Nando’s, but after this experience, I am seriously reconsidering. Looking forward to your...
Read moreAbsolutely disgraceful, Chris the person at the highest post at this chain of Nando’s was disrespectful, rude and had a terrible attitude. After waiting 40 minutes for a table he had put together 2 small tables for the 6 of us. I had asked for a different table in the most respectful way possible and he replied with a sarcastic and frankly rude comment. As someone who works in hospitality I know what it’s like to be on the other side but to think that under a slight bit of pressure he would then speak to me in such a disrespectful manner was actually shocking. I asked to speak to a manager and to my dismay I found out he was at the highest post (somehow). He completely ruined my night and I would recommend anyone coming to cardigan fields Nando’s to steer clear from this rude arrogant and disrespectful man. To think I’d have my night ruined by a man like him irritates me. On the other hand Liv another waitress there diffused the situation and spoke to me with the utmost respect and composure, I commend her for her work ethic and respect, cannot say the same about Christopher unfortunately. Would’ve said zero stars for service if I could but Liv brought it up to a 1. She is a true asset to this branch unlike Chris who doesn’t deserve his job should be passed on to her he can clean the toilets instead - might not be good enough for that either to be honest. Millie was also lovely, she was friendly and respectful. Chris could learn from...
Read moreSTAFF HYGIENE IS A SERIOUS ISSUE AT CARDIGAN FIELDS
The newly renovated place seemed to have skimped on the staff. Short staffed and what staff they have wish they weren't working for Nandos. Awful attitude and the manager who wore dreadlocks in a bandana black gentleman seems to lack the skills or the etiquette of being a manager. The same manager went to customer's toilet whilst I was in there , took a leak and never bother to wash his hands. I was disgusted but at the time was not aware that he was the manager. I later overheard him arguing with a customer and stating he was the manager. A short while after I saw him handling food out to staff. We had already paid for our food but were disgusted with the service . Hygiene was lacking and another staff member a blond slightly overweight young lady was picking her nose and thought she could not been behind the kitchen counter. We all love eating at Nandos but I question the hygiene of the staff after all Nando's pay peanuts and you know what they they when you pay peanuts you get.......? I advise people to stay away otherwise upset stomachs and dysentery is on the cards for you. you have been all warned. Watch the kitchen staff and you will see for yourselves how hygiene seems to be an alien word to them. I going to give Nando's a break for a while as the black manager has really put me off my food. We left with our food half eaten. Very disappointed in the...
