Never Enough Thyme — Restaurant in Leeds

Went in yesterday with a friend for a coffee and cake. Really lovely cake and their decaf is great. Service was weird though... At first it was all smiles and pleasantries but by the time we went to pay the lady was very sour faced and didn’t seem to want to engage with us at all. We both left commenting how unfriendly she had become. Would quite like to know what we did wrong. Have visited a few times before and never experienced this but probably won’t visit again.

Addition following response from owner: You might want to think about changing your response as it’s made you look quite bad and that’s really not what I wanted to happen, I just wanted to provide some honest feedback of my experience. I had Never Enough Thyme cater for my son's birthday. Last year we did it ourselves and it cost a fortune and took ages to prepare. This year we decided to get the professionals in and take the stress out for it. They did us a lovely cold buffet, and everyone commented on how delicious it was. The portion sizes per head were perfect: just enough left over to show everyone had what they wanted. More importantly, we didn't have to spend the time cooking preparing food on our son's birthday and could actually spend it having fun together . I love this café and wish I could visit more often! The staff are always so welcoming and friendly, and the food is not only delicious but also beautifully presented. Even when I get takeaway, it’s thoughtfully packaged.

Most recently, I tried the Christmas sandwich and some takeaway cakes, and they were both amazing.
