Pasta Romagna — Restaurant in Leeds

Well, very not unprofessional customer service. The waitress and own/manager here is not professional (rude). I step in at the shop. They accepted us, but when we called order they had very bad attitude. If they are on short time to close they, need to tell us or ask like( we will close about 20-30mins are you still have enough time for your meal) or ( sorry we about close soon) instead of accepted the customer and have the bad attitude to the customer when they do ordered. If they accepted the customers step in to their place, they need to server the customer nicely instead of had the not nice attitudes to the customer. We are on about eats the food and the waiter come out and point at my plate pizza when i still on it and ask “are you finished it?” As thought to take the pizza plate while I’m still on it. Then waiter expressed her attitude and turned away. About 5/10mins ish the owner/manager come out and say we have “10mins”. We said to her: if you are at short time you need to let’s us know when we get in, instead of accepted….” And then the manager she say it’s coffee shop. ??? How the coffee shop have the pizza and pasta and spaghetti???? We unhappy and that why we asked for the take away my food which’s i still on it. And the manager put the box on the table and let’s us do it by myself not as usual restaurant we ask for the take away, they will do it for us? Not worth the money for the meal. Genuinely the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I ordered a very simple dish which was just spaghetti and tomato sauce, as I am vegetarian and the majority of the menu has meat options (which is fine of course, I don’t mind). The owner, when taking my order, specifically asked if I wanted parmesan (which is not vegetarian) and I simply declined, saying I didn’t want any, and paid for my meal before sitting down. Order arrived pretty quick and there was parmesan all over my dish. I assumed there was just some miscommunication so I embarrassingly asked my friend to inform the owner of the situation who then came over and I explained that I was unable to eat the dish due to my diet and I had requested no parmesan when I ordered. This woman passive aggressively put her hand on my shoulder, told me that I was mistaken and to ‘just google it’ (google said the same thing I did). She got frustrated with me for being overly picky, became exasperated and stormed off and refused to do anything about my order. I get that there can be miscommunications and mishaps in hospitality but her overall demeanour was so rude, especially given it was an issue that she was responsible for. My friend said the food was good at least, not that I was able to enjoy even a single bite of the food I paid for. This place does not deserve a star at all. We chose to eat in, my Mother used to dine here year ago and recommended it. We ordered Bruchetta to share as a starter. It was tasteless and dry we made comments and feedback to the young member of staff who apologised. Then our main meals arrived! My Mother ordered carbonara, I instantly knew by the look of it that it wasn’t appealing. I ordered seafood pasta. Both dishes were tasteless and far from good value for money. I honestly could have made a better dish at home. After one or two mouthfuls we both knew that we could not continue eating the dish. We complained again to the young member of staff, who was polite and apologetic. He took our meals away reassuring us that the Manager would be out soon to “sort it out” as we’d asked for a refund. To our disgust the female manager came to our table and literally dropped £27.90 on our table and returned behind the counter ! I approached the counter and said “do you mind not just dropping the refund on the table” she replied in a sarcastic manner saying “excuse me” I repeated what I’d said and asked for an explanation of exactly what she had refunded and told her I’d like a receipt. She printed a receipt and again dropped it in front of me on the counter. I told her I found her to have a bad attitude and rude.
