This Itsu is located just off of Briggate, the 'main road' of shopping centres in the City Centre.  Located opposite Lush and on the corner entrance adjacent to shopping centre Trinity.

The venue is relatively new to the city, so very contemporary, light and clean. wheelchair accessible with ample seating downstairs, with an additional floor (staircase only - tbc).  Most tables (if not all) have USB ports so you can charge your devices (great working alternative to the library).

Itsu are a well known chain specialising in Japanese, ready-made sushi  and specially prepared hot dishes that include vegan options.

Dishes are predominantly sushi based, with a relatively good range, including california rolls, nigiri sets and sushimi.  Salad options are vailable too.

If you prefer hot food, there are selections of rice, noodle and ramen dishes made to order (and served very quickly).

I usually come here when I walk to city centre during lunch break and always order the same thing.

However, the experience I had today was very disappointing. I ordered crystal chicken soup and edamame at around 1pm. When I started eating glass noodles in the soup I found that it was uncooked. The noodles were still hard so I went to the counter and told the staff. The staff said it is normal and told I should wait for the noodle to soak in the soup a bit (why? Isn't it should be ready to eat?) and it will be fine. I insist that not only it was uncooked the soup also wasn't hot. So she replaced my soup with the new one. However, the second one also had the same issue so I gave up as no point complaining when the staff probably never eat glass noodles before

I don't understand what went wrong with this branch today. I have never had this issue before. Food should be ready to eat when it's handed out...
