I recently had the pleasure of dining at Rudy's restaurant in Headingley, and I must say it was an unforgettable experience. Having heard glowing recommendations from my friends about the Chapel Allerton location, I decided to finally try it out myself.
We started with the garlic bread, and it was absolutely amazing. The bread was perfectly toasted, and the garlic was fragrant and flavorful without being overpowering. It was the perfect way to whet our appetite before diving into the main course.
The pizzas were truly incredible, and I cannot recommend them highly enough. The crust was thin and crispy, with just the right amount of chewiness. The toppings were fresh and delicious, and the flavors blended together perfectly. I was blown away by how good they were.
The service was exceptional as well. The staff were friendly and attentive, and they went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. We were made to feel welcome and comfortable from the moment we walked in the door.
I have to say that Pizza Express next-door should be worried. Rudy's has raised the bar when it comes to authentic Neapolitan pizza, and I doubt anyone will be able to match their level of quality and taste.
Overall, I highly recommend Rudy's restaurant to anyone looking for a fantastic dining experience. The garlic bread was amazing, the pizzas were incredible, and the service was exceptional. I only wish I had visited the Chapel Allerton...
Read moreOK, So we were forced into having our starter with the main .The server, who was very nice with lovely piercings told us the chef was on one .He clearly allowed his standard to drop, one of our pizza's Porchetta was more bread than actual pizza. 🍕 The chef needs to be reminded not to let is standards drop, towards the end of the evening .My friend said some of the pizza was burned also . Overall okay, not amazing like some of the reviews on here. The waitress was exceptional and the atmosphere good, just let down by the chef .But now also the staff, in general let their standards drift as the evening went on. Ps all desserts we wanted had run out aswell .Kind of felt they all wanted to go home. Felt very awkward, as if they were trying to get rid of us . One watress clearly knew their was pudding available, but a senior member of staff told her no. i,e get rid .Very Rude at the end , was only 10 pm . Also first time my bill was bought to the table, before I even asked for it ...I believe puddings were available and we was lied too, just to get rid of us . We were only a party of 2 . Overall Dissapointed in the end. Considering it was my last night out with my daughter, before she moved to Exeter. I felt the evening was...
Read moreHey, listen up, all you wise guys and dolls out there. I gotta tell you about my experience at Rudy's, the new pizza joint in Leeds.
I ordered up their Cinghiale pizza, and let me tell you, it was amore at first bite. The wild boar salami was perfectly balanced with the honey and pecorino cheese. It was like a romantic serenade in my mouth.
But, oh boy, my dime of a date ordered up the Calabrese pizza and it didn't go down so smooth. She was feeling queasy and had to cut the night short. I guess that spicy nduja sausage was too much for her palate.
Now, don't get me wrong, Rudy's is a solid spot for some tasty pies. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, and the open kitchen adds to the overall experience. But, you gotta be careful what you order, especially if you're trying to impress your dime.
So, here's my advice to all you wise guys and dolls out there. Stick to the less spicy options on the menu, or maybe even share a pie with your date. That way, you can enjoy the tasty eats without any mishaps. In the end, Rudy's is a great spot for some delicious Neapolitan-style pizza, but be careful what you order, wise guys and dolls. You don't want to end up with a date feeling like they got hit with a cement...
