Sushi Waka — Restaurant in Leeds

AVOID AT ALL COSTS !!!!!!!! Would give no stars if an option.

Ordered by Deliveroo to central Leeds hotel. Called them after 1 hour to see where delivery had gotten too.. restaurant said we tried to call you once, no answer so left... we did not have one missed call.

When asked why they didn't come to reception they said we can not step a foot on private property so we wait outside the barrier... we asked hotel and they said we would happily let them through the barriers.. its free entry for 20 mins as it is for taxis too..

Called restaurant who then said delivery driver is on their way back. .. 40 mins later delivery driver calls to say he's outside and if were not down fast he will happily leave again.. his exact words! THEN THE DRIVER FINALLY CAME WE TOOK MINUTE TO GET DOWNSTAIRS HE LEFT OUR FOOD ON THE FLOOR OUTSIDE THE HOTEL LIKE WE ARE ANIMALS !! ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTED !

Food cold and no refund or apology, rude restaurant & terrible drivers. £60 worth of food in the bin. Will never order from you again and will never visit your restaurant.

Terrible customer service and all in all bad experience. Save your money and go else where, so many other lovely sushi places in town who appreciate...

I've been coming to this restaurant since 2014.. the food has been good ever since then, however, the portions have reduced drastically! The old owner from 2014 - 15 was more hospitable, but the new management has lead to an awful customer service! Some of the things that the waiters do are: take our order in a haste bring our food one at a time with a minimum of 8 min wait time for the next person to receive their meal, therefore when dining with more than 2 people become bad because the food get cold when waiting for the other persons meal to arrive the toilets are really bad, maybe because it's shared with a karaoke place above the restaurant they take your plates away without asking if you are done with them or not.. if it look like 3/4 of it is finished, they just assume it's okay to take it.. It's like they want their customers to leave the premises asap..

Food was okay but the service was not. Popped in here for something to eat during Pride and we were the only ones in there. Understandably we've had a few to drink so were a bit merry, but weren't rowdy at all. Also would like to emphasize that we were THE ONLY TABLE IN THE ENTIRE RESTAURANT. However, this one server then asked my bf to 'please stop shouting'. We were taken aback by this comment and this kind of soured the entire evening. Especially since he wasn't being any louder than the rest of us.

My bf had ordered the beef and cheese with rice which came with miso soup. The soup arrived 10mins before the rice which meant it was cold by the time he had his main meal. The same server then very rudely dropped the spoon onto the table when bringing the food around for my bf.

Overall the other servers were lovely and the food wasn't bad, but that one server ruined the entire experience for the table and we would...
