I visited the restaurant yesterday (02/10/21 our reservation was for 19:00) and I was really disappointed by the food and service I received, the only nice thing was literally the cocktail I had. It would have been nice to try a variety but the waitress assigned to us that we asked for the cocktail menu never came back with it or if it was not available she never said. So we could only ask for the same cocktail we received earlier.

So my first complaint is about the waitress and service. she seemed very nice at first when she came to introduce herself to us, however she later just switched. I don’t know if she was annoyed because two of my friends had big personalities resulting in being a little loud which can be intimidating or if she just didn’t like us. We found it very difficult to make requests from her because her energy was just off, hence why I felt very uncomfortable about asking for my steak to be returned as it was over cooked. And why we felt uncomfortable about reminding her about the cocktail menu in case she forgot. She also made one of my friends feel very uncomfortable as my friend told us that the waitress kept giving her a nasty gaze. I really regret not taking the service charge off but we were all ready surrounded by an off vibe at the restaurant and not paying it would have resulted in the staff treating us further poorly. Because during our meal we noticed our waitress talking to other staff about us, we assumed it was about us because she kept glancing over at our table whilst whispering.

When we were leaving we asked for a bag to hold the left over food to multiple staff and all the staff we asked said they would get the bag but all came back empty handed. The restaurant staff were really rushing us to leave at 20:52 because the table was reserved for other customers at 21:00. We were leaving already if they cared to ask as we had a movie booked for 20:45 that we were already late for however they never asked and just wanted us gone. The only reason we were still lingering at the table at 20:52 was because we were still waiting for the bag and the two people we asked for a bag both came back empty handed. So they asked us to wait downstairs and then another person fetched us a bag and we left to go watch candy man which was showing at 20:45 at the vue.

My second complaint is about my food, honestly the steak was very very dry. I asked for medium well only to receive well done these are two completely different things. I order truffle fries with Parmesan and I honestly did not taste the Parmesan and my fries looked exactly the same and tasted like the normal fries my friends ordered. I didn’t complain because I though maybe she misheard and just put normal fries and with how uncomfortable the waitress made me feel I didn’t feel comfortable to double check with her. The bill confirmed that I did order truffle fries with Parmesan but the fries I received did not live up to that name, they were just plain. I really hate the fact that I left the restaurant feeling very hungry and this has really discouraged from ever making future visits at your restaurant.

A quick note we did order our food late at around 19:40 because I was late on arriving because when I was walking to the restaurant, my period started so I had to run to boots to get some baby wipes and always pads. So it was my fault that we ordered our food late. Maybe us ordering late is another reason why the staff didn’t...

I recently visited Leeds Bar & Grill Restaurant and had a truly wonderful dining experience, thanks in large part to the outstanding service provided by Husnu. From the moment we arrived, Husnu greeted us with a genuine smile and made us feel incredibly welcome. His warm and friendly demeanor immediately set the tone for the evening, and it was clear that he takes great pride in his work and cares deeply about his guests’ satisfaction.

Throughout our meal, Husnu was attentive without being intrusive. He checked in with us at just the right times, making sure we had everything we needed, from drinks to extra cutlery. He demonstrated a fantastic knowledge of the menu, patiently answered all of our questions, and made excellent recommendations for both food and wine. His enthusiasm for the restaurant’s offerings was infectious, and his suggestions turned out to be absolutely perfect for our tastes.

What really impressed me was Husnu’s attention to detail and willingness to go the extra mile. He anticipated our needs before we even had to ask – refilling our water glasses, ensuring our food was to our liking, and even offering to accommodate dietary preferences. At one point, my friend mentioned it was her birthday, and Husnu surprised us with a complimentary dessert and a cheerful birthday greeting. It’s little touches like this that truly elevate a dining experience.

The food itself at Leeds Bar & Grill was delicious, beautifully presented, and arrived promptly, but it was Husnu’s service that made the evening exceptional. He managed a perfect balance of professionalism and friendliness, and he genuinely seemed to care that we had the best possible time. Even when the restaurant got busier, Husnu remained calm, efficient, and attentive, never once making us feel rushed or overlooked.

In an industry where great service can sometimes be hard to find, Husnu stands out as a true asset to Leeds Bar & Grill. He turned what could have been just another dinner out into a memorable occasion. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for excellent food and top-notch service, and I’d especially encourage you to ask for Husnu – you won’t be disappointed!

Thank you, Husnu, for making our visit so special. We will...

Very Disappointing Experience – Requesting Follow-Up and Fair Compensation

What should have been a relaxed afternoon with friends turned into an expensive, frustrating, and frankly baffling experience that left us all extremely disappointed.

We were seated promptly and drinks were taken straight away. I asked for an ashtray, only to be told that smoking wasn’t permitted because “people were dining.” However, no one around us was eating at the time, and this reasoning made even less sense considering we were later told that the grills weren’t working and no food was being served at all. It felt like an inconsistent policy used to target or inconvenience smokers, which left a particularly sour impression.

We placed our food order and were quickly told the grills were down. A few minutes later, staff returned with cutlery and said they were “hopeful” things would resume soon. But we were left sitting there for over 90 minutes, without proper communication, waiting for food that should have arrived much earlier.

During this wait, we felt pressured into purchasing additional drinks — all of which were overpriced — and when food did eventually come out, my steak, requested medium rare, arrived dry, overcooked, and frankly inedible. It seemed to have been sitting or overcooked during the delay.

While my steak was removed from the bill and a small discount applied, it didn’t come close to making up for the lost time, poor service, confusing and unfair treatment, or the cost we still incurred. What should have been an enjoyable outing ended up feeling like poor value for money, and we walked away thoroughly...

A visit to Leeds found our party of 6 having evening dinner at The Restaurant Bar and Grill and overall, this was a very good experience. This was my first time at the restaurant but some of our party had been before and recommended that we returned this particular evening due to their positive experience previously. Located in the old Post Office building the restaurant has a fantastic and prominent location within the city. It is also in easy walking distance of all city centre hotels and the train station. This restaurant can cope with large numbers of customers with its ample outdoor seating in-conjunction with the inside tables both upstairs and down. There is in addition a private dining room for hire should you require. We were seated upstairs near the bar and overlooking the downstairs area. This is a modern and well maintained restaurant designed and fitted out to high standards. From arriving at our table our waiter was very attentive, friendly and had a great sense of humour. There is an excellent wine, cocktail and general drinks menu and this is coupled by an equally excellent food menu. I found it hard to choose as there was so many things that I fancied. A three course dinner was had by most of our party and a wide range of food was sampled. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the food and collectively we had a fantastic evening at this restaurant. I would certainly revisit The Restaurant Bar and Grill when next in Leeds and can strongly recommend you give it a try. A great place with excellent service and first class staff.

Well this picture should say it all. It was a birthday treat for my partner at the Leeds Restaurant Bar and Grill and it turned out to be a great choice. It's an impressive room, superbly decorated and the staff are attentive from the minute you walk through the door, greeting us at the entrance to check our 6pm booking and present us with a card for our tab at the bar. Seated at the bar I started with just a Moretti, I was thirsty, and my partner had Victoria's Secret cocktail. Around 15 minutes later we were informed that our table was ready and taken to our booth style seats. For starters my partner had the Asparagus and I the Argyll smoked Salmon and a sharing plate of sourdough bread. Both were generous portions and very flavourful. Main course we opted for the 800g Porthouse steak with miso butter and peppercorn sauces with sides of tenderstem broccoli and fries. The steak was cooked to perfection, soft, succulent and just melted in your mouth. We were very pleased with our choice. We were too full to have a desert but a complimentary 'celebration cake' was presented to my partner which we both shared. The whole experience was very relaxing and the service was excellent made all the better for the Wednesday night deal of have price bottles of wine! A lovely evening and would not hesitate to go back. I would imagine that it gets quite busy on a weekend. We went midweek and by the time we left, around 8:30pm it was getting busier so if you prefer a quite meal then midweek would suit you better.
