Food is lovely and we used to come here a lot but….. the one time I tried to come in with my pushchair one member of staff said we are full abruptly like she didn’t want us in there with my child and pushchair. The same member of staff served us another time and while my son was crying because he hit his head off the table tried shouting over him to take our order then was giving him dirty looks as if to say shut up crying. The other members of staff have always been lovely and always welcomed us with my child and the pushchair. And the prices aren’t cheap for the portion sizes. Its a shame as this was our favourite cafe to go too for breakfast as we’ve never had a bad meal here but I think we will be taking our custom elsewhere...
Read moreFour of us enjoyed our food & drinks at The Tasty Cafe yesterday. Dad has mixed dementia and it's hard to know what to order for him because of what he will and will not eat but I ordered a ham, tomato & cheese panini and he ate nearly all of it. I'm fussy when it comes to burgers and don't normally order them as I don't like them too thick but my cheese burger was just right. Only thing we were not keen on was the chips which were not fluffy inside. Other than that couldn't fault it plus pleasant staff. Shame there's not much seating outdoors because when the weather is really nice I suspect it'll be hard to get a seat but obviously the cafe is...

It's tiny, very cramped and the food was mediocre at best. It tasted like the absolute cheapest of ingredients from the nearest market.
Plus points... it was cooked perfectly and the staff were very diligent with cleaning down tables thoroughly between customers. No worries when it comes to cleanliness, especially given the covid situation.
Perhaps they've cut their food costs to stay...
