Overall lack of direction in the restaurant, you walk in and there’s no one to greet you nor a sign to say “wait to be seated”
After finding a member of staff I was then told to go sit wherever I like, but she didn’t tell us whether it was table service or not so again no idea what to do when seated.
After heading to the bar to figure out wether it’s table service or not, im greeted by two young men with there heads down glued to there phones, when asking them what the crack was with ordering food they both looked like they didn’t even know what day it was.
After the awkward encounter with the bar staff I then walked to the other side of the restaurant to order food. The mixed platter for two was £60 and comes with no sides other than some coleslaw and a few pickles which I thought was extremely over priced compared to other smoke house platters at places like hickory’s that come with pit beans, fries, coleslaw, pickles, corn bread, gravy ect.
When the food arrived the pit beans was basically a huge pot of watery gravy with barely any beans in and any meat it was essentially a watery soup with a bit of meat thrown in didn’t resemble pit beans in the slightest.
The burnt ends from the platter was missing, so the platter was ribs, brisket, sausage and pulled pork for £60, no one asked if we wanted any sauces or come and asked how our meal was, overall service was very bad including the waitress and the bar staff.
And to top the whole experience off they give you Wooden disposable cutlery to eat meat with?
Bad experience definitely wouldn’t...

Visited Rub Me Tender on Sat evening for an early Father's Day treat since my Dad is obsessed with America/BBQ places!
My Dad absolutely loved the food. He got the £30 tray for one and had to take half home in a doggy bag (and he's a big lad) so really good portion sizes here. I only eat chicken (I know... Come to a BBQ place and only eat chicken but we came for my Dad really)... Unfortunately they had sold out of the wings but offered to make me tofu tacos. I've only tried tofu once and it was bloody awful tbh but the chef and owner Michael has changed my opinion! It was seasoned beautifully and had some amazing sauces in the tacos... Pico de Gallo maybe? Either way it was sooo good. The fries were really well seasoned too, nice and salty!
Overall a friendly place with a really nice chilled vibe, planning to return another time when they've got some chicken for sure!
Only recommendation is if the waitress could greet on arrival as people were coming in and awkwardly hanging around (including us) as didn't understand if you just grab a picnic table or waited to be seated etc. She was usually standing right by the food which is next to the entrance so would be easy enough just to say hello :)
See you guys...
