WIP — Restaurant in Lichfield

A friend took us here after visiting himself several times. He had been telling us for weeks about the amazing pizza and that we must try it. So indeed we did. It’s a quirky kind of place, lots of people standing in the entrance. All a bit studenty but it’s ok. They do have a super beer garden out back and a little shed type thing that sells a good selection of beers. Seating is scarce inside but we managed to find a table upstairs. We had 3 beers which where good and ordered 3 pizzas. Guy behind the bar said 20 mins but we waited 35 mins. Only 2 pizzas of the 3 came and our host had to go back down to the bar to find where his was, only to appear carrying it himself a few minutes later. I had a meat feast, expecting lots of meat only to be disappointed with the 4 pieces of chicken and 10 pieces of pepperoni, hardly a feast. The pizza base in fairness was excellent, thin and well cooked. The pizza itself was poor with all of the flavour overpowered by a very strong and acidic tomato base. Our host apologised as if it was his fault and mentioned it was really poor compared to normal. No now of us enjoyed it. Nice place thats a bit of a tardis with loads more seating at the back and upstairs. A great choice of craft beer, cider and ales. Friendly staff that are enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the beers and ciders they sell. Great central location too. The perfect place to go and enjoy a pint or two of something a little different to whats on offer elsewhere. Plenty of choice for all beer and cider tastes catered for. I will be back...

This place is great. Pizzas are some of the best I've had, and I am a professional pizza eater. Sometimes there is a little bit of a wait if its busy due to a small kitchen, but it's definelty worth the wait for the quality of pizza.

The beer selection is also banging and each time I've been there has been something new to try.

Staff are friendly too, really like coming here for an end of week...
