We have just got in from a night out with our older children for a family members birthday. Our evening started here at Lee Garden. I'd heard it was amazing. I have to say that from the moment we walked in I felt a little judged wine glasses taken off table as they assumed and even said no wine for you. We were seated, and with in minutes asked what we were drinking. We asked for some more time and with in 30 seconds another waiter was asking the same question. Which then we felt okay just order the drinks. We were asked several times about food by several staff and not really given time to think. We have neuro-diverse children and sometimes decisions don't come easy. Our food was out within 10 minutes, which may seem amazing but made me feel that a lot was prepared. They then assumed we didn't want chopsticks and started to remove them, when in fact we did want to chopsticks. I found whilst we ate I couldn't relax as between 5 to 6 staff would come over and look at us eating, check our plates, then start taking things off the table. We felt rushed. It felt rude, even though the staff appeared to be friendly and jokey. I would have just liked more time to chat. We had sat, been severed and eaten in 45 mins. With 7 of us feeling like we couldn't pace ourselves and enjoy our food. The food was okay. It wouldn't say amazing. As I said it felt very prepared. They also took the prawn crackers away which we hadnt finished eating, when we would have liked time to graze and chat. The restaurant was getting busier by the end and we did order desert to be delivered 2 solid frozen cheesecakes, and one peach melba which was just ice cream and 4 pieces of tinned peaches. Very disappointed. Would we go back? No most probably not. It was okay, but...

Got into the restaurant and the waitress came over and gave us some prawn crackers, then took our order for drinks so far so good.
The drinks came over, then the waiter took our food order. We ordered Two hot and sour soups, sweet and sour Cantonese chicken, Noodles, Sizzling lamb Cantonese style, special curry, Vegetable curry, egg fried rice x 2, chips and spring roles.
The food took over a hour to come out which wasn’t great. when it arrived the hot and sour soups were Luke warm and looked like they had been in and out of a microwave.
The lamb Cantonese style tasted like cheap meat it wasn’t lamb, my mate said he wasn’t sure what it was, It was dreadful. Both rice dishes were Luke warm and the noodles were cold. To cut a long story short apart from the chips which were Fantastic, the rest of the food was a microwave job..
Plus the special curry hardly had any meat in it!! If I could rate the food 0 ⭐️ I would, apart from the chips.
For £13 plus a main meal I find this an absolute disgrace!!
They took the rices, noodles and soups off the bill, which still came to nearly £80…
It was a rip off, we paid £80 for food heated up in a microwave..
Please avoid, I felt sick after this meal and I shall personally not ever return to this place.
Michael Wan's Mandarin in Blackpool Is a premier league Chinese, the food fabulous!
This establishment however is far from that ,it’s utter garbage..
The staff were nice People, It’s not their fault , but the food like I...
Read moreWent there for a night out. Arrived early in the evening, so the restaurant was quiet. As a party of 6, we were all over the age of 18, save for my daughter, who's 13. In spite of this, the wine glasses were immediately cleared from the table, which was a shame as we'd gone out to celebrate a promotion and a birthday and probably would have ordered.
We had no dedicated waiter and instead would be served by one person, only to be approached and asked again about two minutes later. Which ended up with us feeling rushed and, in the end, went with the safe option off the menu rather than experimenting.
The food was served extremely quickly, giving the impression that it had been pre-prepped rather than made to order, and I've seen one too many episodes of Ramsey kitchen nightmares to be entirely comfortable with that. The food was pleasant and well presented but left me extremely thirsty (I really could have done with my glass of vino)
The staff cleared plates as soon as we looked like we were finished, and I mean literally, as soon as we looked like we were done. A little space for conversation and digestion would have been appreciated. In the end, I forwent coffee or dessert as I felt the staff wanted rid of us.
One or two of the party did order cheesecake as desert. This came out frozen solid. All in all, I wouldn't say the meal was a total disaster, but overall, it was a bit anticlimactic, so I wouldn't go out my...
