Visited today for the first time, fabulous ladies serving fabulous cakes and drinks.
We had tea and a dandelion and burdock, and a slice of blueberry and vanilla cake. Lovely tea served the old fashioned way, and a Fentimanās pop. And the cake was to die for! So moist and flavoursome.
Love the decor of the shop, very quaint and old time British, with lots of little details. A little place but we still got a table.
We were unlucky to experience an a*hole of a customer come in demanding a whole cake for a family members birthday the next day. The owner of the shop explained that because they are a small business, they canāt sell a whole cake straight to 1 customer as there wouldnāt be any left by end of service. He was so rude and kept arguing, not understanding that not everyone cares about the money you spend, but the customer experience, but the staff dealt with it gracefully and kindly, in the end we got involved as he was ruining some of the older customersā experience.
I understand why heād want a whole cake though as they are divine!!!
We will definitely be back, only wish my nana was still here to experience...

On our return to Lincoln today we made sure to visit Bunty's tea room knowing the food would be top notch, which it was, with gluten free availability being a priority for my partner. The afternoon tea for £15 each was filling and delicious with a good choice of sandwich fillings (choose the one you want, not a selection) and tea served in lovely quirky teapots. It may seem petty, but if this constant noise had been between two customers then a request to turn it down would definitely have been justified; not so easy when it is the person in charge and we ended up just sitting slightly awkwardly, unable to avoid eavesdropping on all her trials and tribulations. We enjoyed the quality and quantity of food, but were glad to leave for a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI've been wanting to try Bunty's Tea Room for a long time & I wasn't disappointed during my 1st visit. The premises are very cosy with just 5 tablles on the ground floor which are on 2different levels ,Theres a staircase to the rear along with a single toilet so im guessing theres table availability upstairs . I found the Staff on duty to be very pleasant, who provide table service to place your order .The menu itself does have a good choice of hot & cold drinks along with great variety of food options .My order being Orange juice , Pot of Tea for 1 ,Cheese Salad sandwich on brown bread with crisps & coleslaw included and Cheese on white toast with Worcester Sauce in a pot.Great to see traditional ceramic tea pots being used .Anyway I really enjoyed my experience here & im looking forward to a return visit to possibly try Coffee & Cake or an Afternoon tea ! Cash or card payments are accepted at the till. I do recommend a visit here, long as you can make it up...
