Today I had a rare day off with my wife and decided we would travel from Stamford, lincs to lincoln as it is one of our favorite places. We decided we would eat at Prezzo's on the Brayford. We have eaten here several times before and really enjoyed it. This time however the experience was very disappointing. We entered the restaurant and you would think it was closed. eventually someone came to seat us. The waitress came over to take our order and was very rude and had very poor English and customer service. The food was then brought by another waitress and it was the wrong pizza and a poorly prepared wild mushroom girosol. She seemed perturbed that she had to bring it back. I had to ask her to take my food back as well so I could wait and eat with my wife. While waiting for the order to come back for the second time. The original waitress came over and seemed angry that we said the order was wrong which she thought she had gotten right. She left in a huff shaking her head as she walked away.. Not only that, we requested a new diet coke some 20 mins earlier and still did not get it. When the food finally came, my pasta dish was overcooked for being left under the heat lamp and yet again the waitress seemed rude and non-polite. At this point we had lost our appetite and wanted to leave. Before leaving we went to the floor manager explaining what went on and why we were leaving. Overall the staff were unhelpful and rude. Also while the meal was cooking originally, the cook was leaning over the cooking area having a conversation with the manager with one leg up on the side which was against health and safety rules and regulations. This will be our last time going to Prezzo's in Lincoln and we will inform all our friends of the poor level of food...
Read moreMyself and my husband walked in only to be greeted by noone, in which after 5 minutes we decided to seat ourselves at a table outside as it was a lovely sunny day. As soon as we sat down we realised we had choosen a table with a unstable leg, so the table was rocking backwards and forwards. After we had solved this problem my husband then had to wait to call a waiter over to order as noone was acknowledging us, as we had choosen to have a bottle of pinot grigio my husband had asked the waiter for this firstly and then gone on to ask for our food order. After he had taken our food order he then proceeded to ask us what drinks we would like- we thought we had told him this when we ordered the bottle of pinot grigio. We then waited in anticpation to see what the waiter had got right from the order. The waiter then brought out our correct starter but bare in mind we had not recieved any drinks yet or had any cutlery set out. So when the starters were placed infront of us I had to ask if our bottle of wine was on its way and if we could possibly have some cutlery. Once we had eaten our starter we then had to wait awhile for our mains as we were waiting we could hear other customers complaining about the wait they had for their food and drinks. The staff did not seem to be bothered that customers were complaining. Once we had finally recieved our main courses we were then given the bill which was incorrect as we had ordered two starters and two mains from there weekend offer menu yet they had charged us full price. In order to get this resolved we had to go to the bar ourselves to speak to the manager! Very...
Read moreVisited for a bottomless brunch - this was the second visit as our first visit in February was amazing. Unfortunately between February and August there have been some changes the offering - previously you for a pizza and bottomless drinks for £35. They have since changed the food offering to essentially a small appetiser and drinks - the price remains at £35 but if you want a pizza it is now an additional £10. We booked a few months prior for a 60th birthday on the basis of the old menu and did not find out the menu had changed until the day before by chance by looking at the website!
I did have a mixed antipasti dish which was probably the best value of what was the options on the menu. (See picture)
The drinks remained good quality - however the service was not as good as last time and a ‘I’ll be back in a couple of minutes’ turned into 15.
This time they also tried to add a service charge to the bill which didn’t happen last time. They did remove this on request and a cash tip was left.
At the end of the brunch time they said they required the table back for another booking - despite the restaurant being only a third full…
Overall it’s a more civilised brunch compared so some and based on that we may return but it was disappointing that the same as previously would have been an additional £10 which is quite a jump...
