The absolute best Bakery there is! Whether you are feeling like a slice of the finest handmade freshest bread, crusty baguette, a homemade pie, fish cake with a tartare sauce dreams are made of 😍 or fancy a nice fresh filled baguette or panini maybe? The list is absolutely endless! The chilli chicken panini’s and the beef baguettes are unbelievable and the flavours 🤤 anyway let’s stop drooling for a quick minute and talk about cakes and pastries 😋 well, let me tell you we have been many places and tried many cakes and no where compares to Artisane. Everything you purchase from here you can taste it’s made with love and quality ingredients, the lemon tart and strawberry fraisier, buy them both and I will guarantee you will eat both! They do lemon drizzle cake, strawberry tart and a whole bunch of other cakes to choose from, that’s the hardest part because they all look that amazing you can never choose just the one! 😁 Artisane also has available the best and tastiest croissant’s and other pastries you will ever taste. You can get yourself a nice coffee whilst you spend all your time stocking up on the best bakery produce about. You do not want to miss out on popping in to Artisane as you would be hugely missing out. If you love amazing food and the best customer service don’t think about it and get your orders in. When you find such a gem of a place and the customer service is amazing nothing is ever too much trouble in anyway, such lovely lovely people who run the business. So much hard work goes into absolutely every aspect of running Artisane, so please be kind and support smaller business’s, this one really does deserve to stay at the top hence why we are ordering every week and will continue to do so 😁😍

Pros:

The shop is super cute. Cakes are really yummy. Good selection of food. Slightly overpriced but for the cakes it's worth the money.

Cons: Very little signage to confirm what's in the toasties or sandwiches. They add random ingredients - Goats cheese tart had sardines or some kind of fish and olives? Or mustard in all of their toasties. Rude staff, often have to try and get there attention.

I have been buying lunch from artisan for a couple of months, since moving into the area. Unfortunately I won't be going back from today. My partner often goes into the shop takes a picture of what's available and then calls me, today there wasn't a great selection as we went at 1pm which is late. That didn't matter but he had to ask a few questions about the food to confirm what was in each one, as although the signs may say cheese and ham toastie, they often have some additional ingredient. For example mustard. As I'm allergic to mustard I opted for the goats cheese tart. My partner asked the lady what was in the goats cheese tart and confirmed the vegetables in it. At no point did the lady say that there were fish in the tart. I would not have ordered it if I had known as I really dislike fish. Unfortunately this isn't the first time this has happened, and it really ruins the experience. I would let the shop know personally as I prefer not to write a review but after an instance where they were rude to me for pronouncing a cake incorrectly I haven't been in personally since. It's a shame as again the cakes and sandwiches are nice, I just wish they were more upfront with the ingredients and perhaps could avoid an allergic reaction or...

At the time of writing this review, I have been regularly going to this patisserie for approx one month now and In my opinion, this is the best in Liverpool!

The staff are very helpful and friendly, especially Annalise. The bread, cakes and pasties have a very French buttery and satisfying taste. All the ingredients used taste so fresh, I imagine all the food is made first thing in the morning. I have tried lots of things but my favourites are; the lentil pasty, chilli chicken sandwich, the strawberry tart and the latte. The lentil pasty is the best pasty I've ever tasted. The balance of flavours, spice and textured is unique.
