A Jolly Jaunt to Brookhouse: Where Laughter's on Tap 🍻

From the moment you waddle into the quaint and quirky Brookhouse Pub in Liverpool, you'll realize you're in for a barrel of laughs and maybe a pint or two (responsibility is key, folks!). Nestled in the heart of Liverpool, this place has the magical ability to turn a dull day into a sitcom episode you wish you had recorded.

First off, let's talk ambiance. If the walls of Brookhouse could talk, they'd probably sing Beatles tunes with a twist of Monty Python's humor. It's like stepping into your eccentric uncle's living room if your uncle had a penchant for vintage pub signs and an obsession with cheeky British memorabilia.

Service? Oh, you'll be greeted with smiles wider than the Mersey River. The staff are so friendly and witty, you'll start wondering if "comedian" was a job requirement. Ordering a pint comes with a side of banter that's so refreshing, you might forget to actually drink your beer.

Now, the real highlight: the humor. It’s not just in the atmosphere; it’s in everything. The menu, for one, is a masterpiece of puns. Ever tried the "Chicken Tikka Maslager"? It's like a gastronomic joke that actually tastes amazing – truly, a bewildering experience for the senses.

And let's not forget the events. Their quiz nights are like no other, mainly because you're not sure if you're there to answer questions or laugh until you cry. The quizmaster is a legend in his own right, armed with jokes that could make even the sternest of patrons crack a smile.

But perhaps the crown jewel of Brookhouse's comedic endeavors is the random appearances of locals who've unintentionally become part of the establishment's charm. From the guy who holds philosophical debates with his dog to the lady who seems to wear hats themed to whatever holiday is least relevant, it feels like a casting call for a comedy show where everyone's unwittingly auditioned.

In conclusion, the Brookhouse Pub in Liverpool is more than just a place to grab a drink; it's a vortex of joy, laughter, and surprisingly good food that'll have you coming back for more. Whether you're there for the comedy gold dished out by the staff, the hilarious menu items, or the patrons who are characters in their own right, you're in for a treat. Just remember, while the beer might be fantastic, it's the laughter that truly intoxicates. Cheers to Brookhouse, the pub where the spirits are high and the...

The Brookhouse: The Night That Ruined My Knees and Changed My Life

I went to The Brookhouse thinking it’d be a casual Thursday pint. You know, couple of doubles, bit of a bop, maybe be in bed by midnight. Instead, I danced so hard I ended up in A&E with a torn ligament, a traffic cone on my head, and a nurse asking me if “Brookhouse” was a cult.

Let’s rewind.

It started normal — £2.50 doubles, a round of VKs (classic), and someone screaming “Let’s make BAD decisions!” which should’ve been our first red flag. The DJ was playing hit after hit. Like, aggressively iconic. We’re talking “Mr. Brightside” into “Milkshake” into “Freed from Desire” — no time to breathe, just pure cardio.

Then the drop hit during “Sandstorm.” I blacked out for 0.7 seconds and woke up doing the worm on the sticky floor while being cheered on by strangers and someone dressed as Jesus. I was in my element. I was Beyoncé. I was unstoppable.

Until I did the most enthusiastic knee slide in history... straight into a table leg. Heard a crunch. Laughed. Carried on dancing. Eventually realised I couldn’t feel my left leg. A lad called Gaz carried me out like a war hero while I still clutched a Blue WKD like it was my child.

Paramedics arrived. I begged them to let me finish “Bohemian Rhapsody” before going. They did. Legends.

Turns out I sprained my ACL(this is where my football career ended😢), bruised my ego, and possibly joined a pub cult, but you know what? Totally worth it. Would injure myself again for that level of absolute scenes.

10/10. The Brookhouse doesn’t mess around. Bring your ID, bring your mates, and...

"Alright, Islanders, gather 'round! As we dive into this re-coupling, let's take a moment to celebrate the heart and soul of our villa experience: The Brookhouse pub in Liverpool. Just like this iconic pub, our journey here has been filled with laughter, camaraderie, and unforgettable memories.

Now, when it comes to the life of the party, we can't help but think of Ewan. Ewan, mate, your presence in this villa is like the warm glow of the pub's fireplace on a chilly Liverpool night – comforting, inviting, and oh-so-charming. Your wit and humor have lit up every corner of this place, turning even the most mundane moments into belly-aching laughs.

In a villa full of characters, you, Ewan, shine like the brightest star in the Merseyside sky. Your amazing personality and genuine presence have brought us all together, creating bonds that we know will last far beyond our time here.

So, in the spirit of The Brookhouse and all the magic it holds, I choose to couple up with Ewan. Because with him by my side, every day feels like a celebration, every conversation a toast to friendship, and every moment an adventure waiting to unfold.

Here's to The Brookhouse, to Ewan, and to the incredible journey we've shared together....

We are new to the area and this place was close by and had a good menu so thought we would bring the family for dinner. Clearly not the place for families, or good food for that matter. The app for ordering wouldn't work on anyone's phone so ordered at the bar. Bar staff were friendly. But I wasn't given a receipt (this only mattered later). Food was average priced but very small portions. They missed one of the kids meals we ordered so had to go back and reorder and wait. Food all took ages to come. Kids goujon meal only came with 2 chicken tenders and small portion of fries. Even my skinny 7 year old was still hungry. They missed another item apparently as it didn't arrive and I had to reorder. Steak, was asked to be medium, came nearly raw. Waitress looked surprised to be told this and just shrugged. Steak was inedible, unless you like your steak Blue. The rest was flavourless, bland and basic. Wouldn't eat here again. To be fair, it looks like a fun hang out for the Uni crowd, and really no one else seemed to be eating. I think it's just a gastro pub in name and more focused on the social drinking crowd. That's okay, just be warned to eat somewhere else, and maybe don't bring kids. Our expensive mistake.

Historically pleasant public house, with homages to past Liverpool stars with a welcoming atmosphere. A student pub with fair prices, a wide range of drinks to suit anyone and food fit for any diet, perfect for a day out, or a few casual drinks at night. With over 70 tables, both indoors and outside, this pub is ideal for any size group, with bookings available, for both food and sports events. Worth a visit, for both historic and aesthetic reasons and also for the staff, who laugh, joke and converse with any customer who wants it.

Dear Ewan, forgive our misguided quest, Cheating in the quiz, we must confess. Lacking brain cells, we strayed astray, But now we seek redemption, come what may. In moments of weakness, we faltered and fell, But integrity's path, we'll tread it well. With remorse in our hearts, we ask for your grace, And pledge to honor the quiz's rightful place. So here's our apology, short and clear, We'll embrace honesty, without fear. Forgive us, Ewan, for our foolish choice, As we strive to let integrity's voice rejoice.
