Babylon Grill Cafe — Local services in Liverpool

On the afternoon of Sunday 31st August 2025, I attended the annual celebration of the Japanese 🇯🇵 Community for North West England held at the Sefton Park Palm House.

My friend & I decided we wanted some lunch at nearby Lark Lane yet to our surprise alongside disappointment, a number of eateries stopped serving Omelette as it was 2:00pm (14:00hrs) with that dish being deemed Breakfast.

I then took the decision to walk to the other side of Sefton Park at it's Smithdown Road end to find an establishment that would provide me with my much fancied dish.

Thankfully, my local knowledge was correct in finding the Babylon Grill Café close to Greenbank Drive (Smithdown Road entrance to Sefton Park) in serving Breakfast ALL day of which Omelette is part of.

The Omelette was chosen with additional Chicken for £1.90p more, the food arrived promptly & was delicious.

The only slight negative was the Café only served White Bread whilst I prefer Wholemeal Bread. This was quickly solved as before my meal arrived I went to a nearby Convenience Store & bought a Wholemeal loaf.

The Café toasted some slices giving them the remaining loaf out of thanks.

Later, the owner of the establishment arrived & I explained if Wholemeal Bread could be also an option of which he agreed alongside thanking me for the donation of the bread.

I got my order delivered via a 2nd hand company however the restraunt use there own staff to deliver. The member of staff came and I received my food but unfortunately my cheesy chips were missing and I told the delivery driver. He was very apologetic and said he would get them and come back and I have a free drink off them for the inconvenience. The chicken wrap was top notch apart from the tomatoes (my fault not there's as I didn't mention no tomatoes as I didnt think but no allergy just a dislike). He came back with the cheesy chips and a drink and the cheesy chips again were very tasty. A few chips were slightly too greasy but only a few! The garlic sauce and sweet chili were a great addition. And the staff were ever so apologetic and even left a note on tip of the box. Food and customer service is amazing and I will be ordering again. I had a wonderful experience at Babylon Grill! This cozy little spot is a true hidden gem, offering delicious food and incredibly friendly service. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm welcome and felt right at home.

The menu has a great selection, and everything I tried was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. The lamb wrap and pizza was especially amazing—perfectly cooked and bursting with taste!

Beyond the food, the service was exceptional. The staff was attentive, kind, and genuinely seemed to care about making sure I had a great dining experience.
