The flavors of the pizza were enjoyable, but the dough was excessively chewy (some chewiness is expected, but not to this extent) and lacked the desired crispiness. The rubbery cheese might be the culprit. Furthermore, the overall temperature of the pizza was lukewarm upon serving, which seemed odd, as I expected this type of pizza to come straight out of a piping hot wood oven and be served immediately. While the service was generally pleasant, there were some hiccups. We were initially brought the wrong pizza, and it was taken away randomly. Additionally, one out of the four pizzas arrived much sooner than the rest, leading to a 10-minute wait for the rest of the food. Setting aside these issues, the atmosphere was pleasant, and the location boasted a lovely view of the docks. However, if you're seeking authentic Neapolitan pizza, I would recommend visiting Neapolitan Pizza on Lime Street, as they are the only AVPN certified pizzeria in the city.

Rudy's Pizza at the Liverpool Albert Dock offers an outstanding pizza experience that perfectly captures the essence of traditional Neapolitan cuisine. Renowned for its meticulously crafted dough, which ferments for 24 hours to achieve an airy and light texture, Rudy's uses top-quality ingredients sourced directly from Naples, such as San Marzano tomatoes and Fior di Latte mozzarella. The result is a pizza with a crispy, bubbly crust and fresh, flavorful toppings. The restaurant’s modern, inviting atmosphere, complete with an open kitchen and a vibrant yet relaxed ambiance, makes it a favorite spot for both locals and visitors seeking a slice of authentic Italian pizza. I would highly recommend trying this outstanding location for a date night or evening meal.

Authentic Neapolitan Pizza with Friendly Service I recently visited this pizzeria and was thoroughly impressed by the variety of authentic Neapolitan pizzas on offer. Each pizza was made with fresh ingredients and true to the traditional Italian style, making for a deliciously satisfying meal. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even more enjoyable. However, I did notice that the service was a bit delayed, even though the restaurant was fairly quiet at the time. While this was a minor downside, it didn’t detract from the overall positive experience. If you’re craving a genuine taste of Italy, this place is definitely worth a visit! Just be prepared for a slightly slower pace if you go during quieter hours.

I will start this review with the positives. Some of the staff are lovely and will try and make your experience as you hoped. Unfortunately this is all I can say positive. We booked a table for our anniversary and were drawn in by the promise of pizza and a view of the docks. I should have known better, when I booked the staff member I spoke with was curt and didn't even let me finish my sentence afterward before hanging up, giving them the benefit of the doubt be it busy or what not we headed in hoping for a lovely treat. After experiencing the staff member again at the door rudely addressing us, we were shown to our table by our server, the highlight of the experience. The table was cramped, the volume of the music rivalled that of the bars present along the docks, to the point me and my partner were having to nearly shout to speak across the very tiny table. The food. Burnt, odd tasting and we eat a slither before regretting picking the place. The garlic bread we had prior to our main was discussed by us and the table across and compared by us both akin to a slightly warm and soggy cheese sandwich, my partner adds, where was the garlic. We were offered deserts to try and redeem the experience but we declined as we had, had enough at this point. Avoid...

We visited yesterday with friends and, unfortunately, we were not positively surprised by the recent menu changes. Some dishes, such as the Veggie Campana, which was suitable for both vegan and vegetarian diets, are no longer available. This dish was perfect for members of our group who cannot eat pizza due to dietary requirements, so its removal is a real shame.

As for the pizzas, we ordered the Romagnola, but it was very disappointing. The “prosciutto crudo” topping was almost missing, with only a few small pieces on the pizza. Considering it is meant to be the main topping, this was really underwhelming. It is unfortunate, because your pizzas are usually delicious, and it feels like a good pizza is ruined by such a small detail.

On a positive note, the service was excellent and really saved the evening. The staff were attentive and welcoming, as always.

We have always loved Rudy’s and enjoyed coming here regularly, but with the current menu it is difficult for us to return, as not all of our group can now find suitable options. I would strongly recommend bringing back the Veggie Campana and ensuring pizzas are more generously topped. It would make a big difference and keep loyal customers like us...

Stopped in for a solo dinner while in the area for a conference and had a great experience. As soon as I was seated, the staff were attentive and friendly, with tables being cleared and reset quickly for new customers. I was seated right away for my reservation, even though I arrived a bit early.

The service was efficient but still warm and personable. Nektaria, who served me, made great recommendations and let me know upfront what wasn’t available, which I really appreciated. I ordered the Calabrese pizza and added on mushrooms and olives each for a £1, along with a cold, refreshing homemade lemonade. The food was hot and tasty, and arrived within 10 minutes of sitting down!

Even when the place got busy, they were on top of everything—my plate was cleared promptly and I was given the dessert menu without needing to ask. I also got the bill quickly when I requested it.

The atmosphere was nice too —warm overhead lighting and a rustic wooden interior made it feel cosy and welcoming. Overall, a smooth, pleasant dining experience and although this was a one-off visit, since they’re a chain, I’ll definitely be checking out another...
