Amaretto Ristorante Pizzeria Hendon — Restaurant in London

I just had the most delicious dinner here with my fiancé, we’ll definitely be coming back.

We ordered the olives, pizza bread, an Etna pizza and an Inferno pizza, then the homemade tiramisu, zabaglione and affogato. Everything was delicious, fresh, and the portions were very generous. I particularly reccommend ordering a desert, they were all amazing.

The waiter and waitress were attentive without being overbearing, and really nice. The atmosphere was relaxed, but we had a romantic dinner so the restaurant would suit a lot of different occasions. You could see the chef working at the back, which was brilliant. He was cooking everything from scratch. We also got complimentary limoncello with the bill. To top it off, it was very reasonably priced, roughly £20pp for a large three course meal.

Booked a table online for 6:30pm. No confirmation received so decided to call the branch and confirm the booking. Everything was confirmed fine.

Turned up at 6:30pm only to be met by one of the staff or the manager (I don't know who he was) who proceeded to tell me I was an hour and a half late for my booking. I looked at my watch and said its 6:30 to which he replied but it's 7:30 now. Okay whatever so he can't read the time. He looked at his diary and pointed out that we were supposed to be here at 6pm to which I replied I have proof of a 6:30pm booking. He then turned around and said "who should I believe? You or my staff? Of course my staff!"

Basically, they are unprofessional and rude! The way he spoke to us is unacceptable. We decided not to dine there in the end and walked off. Thanks...

The waiteress was was rude offensive and reflected the food quality which was way below par .. totally bad experience as she served everyone else ie take out ( two) before me as I was the only diner. yet she had the cheek to be racially sluring to say if I needed anything else when she served the meal and then added “don’t you want chilli”, especially as the meal did not call for chilli but knowing I was brown , assumed I would eat the meal with chilli . I found her nonchalant she did not care one bit how I felt and she had Messed up the order completely by forgetting the starter and even though I was tempted at this point to walk out she still had the cheek of charging me for an order when I expressed my dissatisfaction and that food later made my...
