I placed an order via Uber eats. Ordered a hot dog fries popcorn chicken and some fried strips. Also a grilled chicken burger. Everything else was fresh but to my disappointment when I attempted to take one bite from the grilled chicken burger I literally couldn’t bite down fully as the chicken was rock hard and dry/stringy. I could immediately tell it wasn’t made fresh. I called to speak to the manager as soon as he came on the phone he was extremely defensive claiming there’s no way at all the food is always fresh! I responded by asking if he thought I lied, he said he’s not sure?! I was so infuriated that I took the burger straight to the branch. When he approached me he was still defensive and opened the burger and said it looks fresh! I said look at where I attempted to take a bite it’s rock hard and isn’t fresh! He started breaking it apart with his fingers arguing that it’s always fresh and told me to come to the back in the kitchen so he can show me?! I said there no need and after a lot of back and forth he finally said he would make me a replacement burger but didn’t seem happy about it at all and said I’m the first customer to ever complain he never once apologised to me at all. He also didn’t come back out of the kitchen with the burger or take any responsibility for what happened! The second burger was perfect! Why couldn’t it be like that the first time?! Just like that they have lost a customer. I’m not sure if it’s under new management but the customer service and food quality of the first burger was appalling. I never ever like to leave bad reviews which is why I gave them the chance by calling and also physically going in after paying £5 delivery and service fee on Uber. I order on Uber Eats all of the time, i’ve tried a variety of things from their menu - one being the mini burger. Please look at the picture and tell me if you think this is acceptable to serve someone… when I called the manager she was dismissive, told me they are all like that and said I am complaining about everything so she doesn’t know what to do for me. All I said to her was the amount of chicken in the burger is unacceptable and the lettuce is changing colour (to which she said no it’s not, as if she can see it). She told me to come to the shop now to change it, I declined and told her I would come to the shop in my free time so she can remake it, she said okay and was going to hang up without even taking any of my details - very dismissive and poor customer service.
Furthermore, the way that they package their hot dogs reduce the quality - it comes in a plastic container so the bread and crispy onions sweat and become soggy by the time it is delivered. This time, I do not believe the hot dog was even cooked properly, I had to stop eating it. I don’t know who they have in the kitchen now, but they’re clearly inexperienced. Read moreI visited amigos and had a random man intimidate me and my friends by coming extremely close to us. I told a staff member at amigos to notify the manager and get this man out of the shop. The man looked out of it and was unwell and was intimidating me. The manager did nothing and other male customers got involved and consistently told the odd man to leave us alone. They even got up to walk the odd man out of the shop several times. I confronted the manager at the end after getting my food and asked him why he didn’t kick him out, the manager said I kicked him out three times before he keeps coming back, it was busy sorry, next time. I find this response appalling, I told the manager, I couldn’t care less how busy you are, three girls in your shop are uncomfortable. Manager reassured me saying next time as he would be better next time? Weirdest response ever, there is no next time, why would I come back here. Ps, I have been to this amigos often and the manager would recognise me at this point.
