I am deeply disappointed and angry about the way my 12-year-old child was treated at your Wembley branch. While I was outside the restaurant on an urgent phone call, my child saw the free fries promotion, took a picture using my phone, and went to claim the offer. Instead of being treated respectfully, he was humiliated and accused of stealing by the manager, Hamid.
My child explained that, as another employee was about to give him the fries, Hamid stopped them and, in a rude and accusatory manner, demanded to see the app. He spoke in a way that made my child feel like a thief. When I went inside to address the incident, I discovered that it was the manager himself who had treated my child so poorly. Hamid justified his actions by saying, “Children do this all the time!!!”
I told him that, even if a child eagerly comes to claim an offer, he is still just a child. A child’s enthusiasm for something is a testament to its quality, and it could have been handled kindly and respectfully. A better approach would have been to give the order and politely ask to see the parent to clarify any issue. How could he accuse and humiliate a 12-year-old without evidence? Instead of taking responsibility, Hamid continued to justify his unacceptable behavior. He even said, “You believe your child, not me,” which was both dismissive and offensive. I threw the packet of fries he gave my child back to show him that people are not thieves. If the manager himself behaves this way, he cannot blame his coworkers for anything in this branch.
As a regular customer at the Ealing branch, where the staff are always respectful and professional, this experience at Wembley was shocking. Hamid’s actions showed not only a lack of professionalism but also a complete disregard for basic human decency. This felt like blatant discrimination and a deeply rooted issue in how this manager perceives and treats customers.
The unprofessional manager's statement, “Children do this all the time,” was not only baseless but also offensive, as it generalised innocent behavior and cast unfair accusations on my child and other children. Please make it clear to your manager that we don’t raise our children to be thieves. We raise our children with respect and manners, and if he has an issue with that, it’s a problem with where he was raised, not with us. If he comes from a family where he was taught this way, he shouldn't generalise and assume the same about others.
Such incidents must not happen again if you value your customers and...
Read moreThis is possibly the WORST place of its kind. I’ve been to many places like this and in my whole life I haven’t had something so inedible. The only decent thing were the fries and they arrived cold anyways. The customer service is SHOCKING. They give you a cup, then you have to ask them for the lid, then you ask for the straw, then you ask for the sauces, and they keep missing things from your order so you keep going back to chase them up. On one occasion they gave us gravy when we ordered mash and gravy, we called the guy to tell him and he shouted at us ‘what now’. I couldn’t believe he said that😂. Then the chicken tender coating was coming off and it smelt and tasted of fish, it was the most horrendous thing I’ve tried. The prices are not worth it, and the menu is unorganised and all over the place when ordering at the self order machines. Avoid at all costs, there are plenty of better places allll around Wembley so you’re not missing out or deprived of choices. The burger was also one of the worst things, I wouldn’t even feed...
Read moreI never leave reviews but customer service at this place was that bad. I stood in store for about 10 minutes waiting for a few wings. After many people before me had come and gone and I could no longer see my order on screen, I asked the girl behind the counter about it. She walked away, appeared to be looking for the order, gave up without finding it, and started making other orders, never saying a word to me, didn't bother to tell me whether it would be cooked again or not. I waited again for a few more minutes then finally asked for a refund. She called a colleague over and I asked again for a refund, the colleague rolled her eyes at me before processing it. I drove over to McDonald's, they were busy and politely asked me to drive into bay 1, someone came out, put the order in my hand and said 'thank you for waiting'. Don't waste your time or money at this store, one thing you can say about McDonald's is that they consistently train their staff in good...
